The worst thing about ARURF...

Is that we have to constantly sift through all the QQ/waaaa! X champ is OP/I hate random posts on here.

I love the fact that it's random (even though the game keeps sticking me with champs I suck at.. So like 98% of the champ pool). It makes it more entertaining than watching the same 10-15 champs knock each other around.

Also, yeah there's a handful of OP champs and it sucks to play against them, but seriously, it's a quick fun game mode. Have fun with your champ, build crazy, run around like nuts, and then hop into another game and hope for some RNG magic.

I'd rather have fun and have less variety than end up not having fun on a champ I didn't want to play in that mode at all

we would have to balance that out with all the champs that are not fun to play against. And Riot had pretty much said that it wasn't really balanceable. (More that it was too much to balance as new champs and items appeared or got reworked.)

One game, I wound up rolling thresh. At first, I thought he was going to suck. But I could only laugh imagining my opponents frustration as I had them in a permanent stunlock between hook and flay.

What is there to balance in URF? There was major annoying people like kass, teemo, karthus, veigar in URF and do you know what occurred? They were banned. Any over the top OP champs got banned every game, and with the upcoming 5 bans per team it would work even better for URF. I would take having fun and playing yi every game than getting stuck with trundle vs a veigar or some other op champ.

The thing is, a lot of the QQ has a point.

I'm fine with random, more or less. The issue is that "diversity" right now is meaning "some" people get the OP champions. This most recent game, the enemy rolled Hecarim and Eve. "Man, that was a fun and interactive game of hearthstone", I say as the loading screen shows up. Better luck next time.

If they got rid of the top 10ish hyper OP "you literally auto lose at champ select" champions from the pool, then arurf could be so much better than it is right now. Right now, you still see the same 10 champions every game, you just see them a little less, and instead of "kind of" annoying because everyone is playing powerful stuff, they're "game warningly" strong.

I get that can be frustrating (I first timed a Yorick against kennen and karma, like how the fuck do you win that? Lol) but honestly, if you go in with less expectations it makes the experience better. There are always going to be OP match ups, it's just not worth it to try and balance.

I think mostly people need to be ok with this being a "fun mode" and not a "must win mode" like in ranked. I k ow it can be frustrating, I was getting mad too, but I don't want them to take champs away or delay getting in with some dumb ban phase.

If anything, make it so that the IP rewards are the same win or lose. That way, a loss isn't such a bad thing because you come out on equal footing as any op team comp.

"if you go in with less expectations" I can't tell if that's a joke or not? I should go in the game thinking "well I didn't get any of the champs I want for the 20th time in a row and they have veigar, eve, and hecrium this will be fun." Nothing is fun about AR unless you get one of the champs you want, getting poked down by ranged OP champs isn't fun in the slightest.
