But that doesn't mean that you should have to.
Stop using the argument that since there is an ability to mute people you should be able to be as toxic as you want. The community doesn't want to hear your crap.

Muting someone is a countermeasure you personally can use to prevent yourself from tilting or having to hear them, this does NOT condone people being toxic; read the fucking Tos/EULA people

Actually, Terms of Use discourages being as toxic as you want.
The mute button actually discourages people from reporting. If a person is not being reported, they can be as toxic as they want.

It's always case-by-case. Some people are too oversensitive and mute too much. Others are toxic and should be muted
I've muted only a couple of people. They then spam ping the shit out of the game forcing you to mute all pings.

Riot is promoting toxicity themselves anyway , because why the fuck do u need to talk with the enemy team after all?
You can also mute people for no reason at all at the beginning of the game if you are someone who is easily tilted.
