LP Gains are broken

I was on a 9 game win streak but with every game my LP gains lessened. I then lost one game and won afterwards and somehow got 24lp??

Shouldn't I get an exponential LP increase with wins?

teh game tries to put you were it thinks you belong. mmr/elo (match making rating) increases at a very slow rate it dose not increase like the lp does so if your gaining less and losing more it means your mmr is not actually as high as your current rank for example my mmr is really low but if i can put together a good enough win streak ill move up in rank however my mmr is below what it should be its still considered low for the division below me so the game will give you less and less lp and take more and more from you till either you've won enough games that your mmr is equal to your rank or till you've lost enough that your rank is back were your mmr is (your mmr is invisible but you can check it on sites like na.op.gg

So, basically I went on a 9 game win streak gaining 24-25 lp per win for the first few wins and then my lp gains decayed throughout my win streak.

You have to grind allot more then you think to get your mmr up I suggest you check it btw 17+ means your pretty close to were the game thinks you belong

Silver has been super weird lately. I'm Silver IV on my main right now, MMR was 1310, and I was "in ELO Hell" according to op.gg check it the next day and I'm likely to skip a division... it's been all over the place so I think that's why gains are so wack, the average MMR is in too much flux.

op.gg is a third party site and riot doesn't actually endorse what they tell you. What that sight does is try to guess what your mmr is based on whoever is in you game, but it isn't always accurate. It gives you a rough guess, but you can't take it too seriously.
