How long did it take you guys to reach Gold and higher?

The first time I got Silver was in season 6 after over 1000 ranked games, after struggling for months in Bronze 5. Since then I was able to consistently climb to Silver. This season would be the 3rd time I was able to make Silver and I did it fairly quickly. But since the 1st time I made it in Season 6, I've been trying for Gold. In Season 6, 7 and now 8. It should have taken the same amount of time, roughly 1000 or so ranked games. I've played well close to 3000 ranked games since Season 6 with the aim of Gold and to this day, I've only been able to reach Silver 4 and fall back repeatedly.

It's clear Gold is a lot harder to reach than Silver. So I want to know from people who made it to Gold and above after struggling in Silver or even Bronze....how many games did it take you to reach there finally. I some kind of reference to know how much I have to play still. I've already crossed 1400 games this season and I'm no closer than I was the first time I made it to Silver 2 years ago.

i placed into gold after not having played ranked since season 5 lol

i started playing mid season 6, having never played a moba before much less the only pc game i had played was aoe3 and i ended season 6 bronze 1, season 7 i ended it silver 2, and this season i've hit gold 3, but had to take a break due to connection problems i have been dealing with. also i play on roughly 10 fps throughout the game on lowest graphics and i still loved every minute of the grind to get better

edit: i hit gold 5 fairly early in the season say around patch 8.4 or 8.5

6 years later, still bronze. I hav faith I'll be able to reach at least gold next season though,

Took me about 2 years to get gold 5. I've heard of people doing it in 6 months. Currently plat 5, this is my 4th season playing. ~ SoulNibbler

Just reach gold after 1 season hard stuck in bronze 1, and 4 seasons hard stuck in silver 2/1, and now reach Gold and skipping gold 5 to gold 4 after 2 lose and 3 win promo, on average I play about 300 rank game/season.

This is my first season playing this game, im only gold , but maybe i can reach plat before it ends, if my info is helpful...

It took me about 8 month to reach gold. Started playing during season 8. Got to level 30 during the Season 9 Pre season. Got placed in silver. At the start of season 9 I got placed in bronze. I reached gold during August. I dont really know how I did it to be honest.
