you are not playing against a team whom you've practiced to play against.

you are not in lcs. lcs is a very, very, very different game from solo queue.

Yeah! Stop playing the game and trying what you see in pros to liven up your basic boring Support life! You don't get to carry! You don't get to split push! You certainly don't get to buy items, and DEFINITELY don't get to try new interesting things!

obviously you have a very poor understanding of what it means to carry as support, because you most definitely can carry as a support, a real support, by providing your adc with a strong lane phase in which they are safe, able to farm, and possibly pick up a couple of extra kills along the way, as well as by peeling for your team, and doing damage if you're a real kill lane support who actually has utility, like zyra, or brand, or annie, etc. and hey, guess what, if you want to try something new and have a bit of fun there are FUCKING NORMALS FOR A FUCKING REASON

"Carry as a support" still requires other people to carry on top of you to do the heavy damage lifting. It's not really carrying. And providing a safe laning phase still requires other people to be able to do their job (aka avoid getting harrassed, actually get their CS, actually watch the mini map to avoid that incoming gank or collapse on an invading jungle). I've carried my hardest in games where I setup so many plays, and we still lost because the actual carries couldn't carry. I setup plays, kept the other laners from killing my adc, saved them from multiple ganks, etc. Making picks still requires damage dealers. If you go in on the best Thresh hook in existance, and no one follows... It still is a bad play pretty much 95% of the time since you won't be able to get anything out of it (and will likely die). Also, it IS a game. Ranked != competitive anything. It's just a ranking system. No serious mandate handed down by the riot gods. Hence why there are not limits on what champions you can pick when you've been given a role. You can still have fun there.

yes, and carrying as any other role also requires other people not to feed, and, dependent on the matchup, still requires some form of assistance from your team. regardless of what role you're playing you're reliant on your team; only difference is as a support you're indirectly carrying, while as other roles you can directly carry. statistically speaking, you're much more likely to win indirectly carrying as a real support than trying to directly carry as MF support, so "carrying" as her isn't really a valid argument. as for this.. You can still have fun there." the issue with saying that it's just a game and that ranked doesn't matter is that there are people who take ranked seriously and play it competitively, and i don't see why you would screw around in a ranked game rather than a normal, as your team has much more to lose in a normal than in a ranked game. it doesn't make sense.

Just let it be. People will do what they want and experiment how they will. Besides, unless you intend to fly to high ranks in like a week, it's all fun and games now before the season end.

i do intend to fly to high ranks. i'm at plat 1 20 lp right now, and i'm hoping to reach diamond before the season ends, and having people making picks they can't play and don't understand and that are just downright mediocre makes it very difficult for me to reach my goal. if people want to screw around in ranked, there's 2 whole months of preseason 2 weeks from now.
