Didn't you hear? Assassins are the blame for everything. Can't climb? Assassins. Feeling sick? Assassins. Pop quiz at school? Assassins.
One word: Cooldowns.
Or a lack thereof.
CDR is too readily available at the moment to begin with, but a lot of these champions are already designed with relatively low cooldowns.
Soo much agree. My gripe was that they both have burst speed, assassins have gap close, mages have cc. Well now assassins like Talon are slowed down so the balance is off. Now it's mage's have burst speed and cc, assassins have gap closer. I made a thread about what i'd do to Talon to make him like the older fast bursting one. I realize the problem with speeding up Talon's rake and ult again would make him beyond broken due to passive but that's why I did away with it. It's so he's less early kill cheese, but still extremely fun and fast at doing what he does. (it's called assassins re-rework if you want to read)

syndra isn't even broken anymore and veigar, evelynn, and annie all have weaknesses you can exploit. Orianna is the only one with like zero counters. Veigar's fine because he's complete trash early game and unless you're stunned he's not going to hit his w and if he doesn't hit that then a QR will never kill you unless it's 50 minutes into the game or he's 10/0. Evelynn's fine since she can't really do anything early and her dmg isn't that high and there are just better jg like lee, gragas or zac that offer more than pure damage to their team. A flash ult from annie is annoying yea but if she has her stun up then dont go near her as an adc, if she holds onto it she can't waveclear or do anything. The thing that makes assassins different was that they had mobility to escape after killing you in .5 seconds.
