ok all the time here i see that...omg i hate this item or this champ is broke or i hate this system and it will have 100+ upvotes and at the absolute highest end they might get 1k...and they say "so Riot what are you going to do the community has spoken" <- actual quote from a thread with maybe 300 upvotes

so now... league had 60 million+ monthly players....and what something like 7 million+ playing concurrently guess what 1k upvotes is literally nothing compared to the grand scheme of league ya its a good sample of opinions but by NO mean is it the opinion of the lol community it may be the opinion of the boards community but not lol

and something like 600 upvotes is around 0.001% of the player base

and dont forget the whole vocal minority thing , many times when you have the community hates this its just the vocal minority

Edit: guys when you take a percentage you have to multiply by 100 after dividing >.<

Oh wow, nobody has come in here and said "Riot lies about the numbers" yet? That's what they say every time I mention the number of players in this game. Well, just give it a minute, you'll get plenty of that.

It's always a pain to try to talk sense into the people that complain about a certain topic, because that's half their incentive to go on the boards: To complain about changes they personally don't like.

Nowadays I just like to peruse posts by more friendly people like Laughing Fish and Malicious Metal.

Not to mention the boards self-select because the people who are mature enough to not panic over every minor change are just playing the game and enjoying it.

Dude, you can't reason with these boards.

600 upvotes is actually 0.00001% of the player base, you missed two zeroes. :P I don't think I've ever seen a League post get even remotely close to 1%, not even on Reddit. It's such a massively vocal minuscule minority it's hard to even put it in perspective.

You're right. However, we are the ppl providing feedback that is going ignored.

Actually League has 67+ Million monthly players and around 12+ Million concurrently and 24+ Million a day.

8^) (All of those are individuals ;D)

Who cares if we are the vocal minority? We are the voice of the community because we care enough to post and give feedback.

Sure the others may play the game but they could just like that leve the game because it doesn't mean that much to them.

People post threads to complain, not to praise. This makes sense (there's not a lot to discuss in a thread about how great Dynamic Queue is, for instance), but it means the boards will always give more visibility to criticism. The community looks like it's upset because everyone who goes out of their way to express an opinion is being critical. People need to keep in mind that just because the boards look negative doesn't mean the community at large hates the game. The boards looked exactly the same in previous seasons.

I think the community wants a League of Legends story quest game like Skyrim except with more Draven. That seems doable. If Riot can't even do that they need to give us unlimited RP as compensation. The community has spoken.

So what do players do to give feedback? Just file an email to Riot and get nothing back? Even if the boards is a minuscule fraction of the whole community some people need a place to discuss things. Although I completely agree with the sentiment that people who say how Rito is ignoring the community is pretty foolish, but unless they're more surveys this place seems to have the most player feedback. Perhaps there is a way to broaden forms of communication between the players and Riot?

Also Riot doesn't really care too much about the boards, Reddit is way more important as a platform.

I'm sure that despite what a lot of people think, Riot employees read almost all threads. When I come across threads like these I just imagine a Rioter throwing his hands up and just yelling, "fking thank you". Lmao. http://i.imgur.com/0e8yZRw.gif

I understand this but sometimes we ask for things that don't require the whole population to agree on. If a good amount of people are asking for Solo Queue to be an available option, there is no saying "Well not enough people want this and we don't want to effect those who don't want solo queue" because if you don't want x, there would be y (vice versa).

Also certain requests (especially balance-wise) are too blatant and understandable to ignore and say "not enough people vote on this"
