Does anyone else feel like honor leveling is incredibly slow?

I'll admit it im one of the bad ones and i got a little too upset in a ranked game once, honor 3 to honor 0. This was MONTHS AND MONTHS ago. I wanna say it was at least 5 months ago. And yet somehow being on my best behavior (no other flags on my account since and getting honors ranging from 1-4 every single game.) I havent even reached checkpoint 2 to get to honor level 2... Idk maybe you all think its supposed to be this way and im crazy but it just strikes me as odd that you can lose literally everything in one second and then it takes you forever just to reach honor level 2 which is the starting honor level..
