why? because fiddlesticks offers great insane team fight presence. rammus has infinite crazy ganks. and akali is actually a smart player that uses her effectively.

you're right about tristana but people ban lucian more than tristana in high elo, and no one above diamond bans yasuo. yasuos in a very bad state at the moment. only low elos think hes freelo.

Hard to think a champion that has to be spoon fed eight kills by his jungle to win lane against Maoki is freelo, when Mao is also a late game monster. Not to mention damage reduction Mao brings is very helpful against the free armour pen Yas gets.
AnomalousChimera1 votesI really doubt that about Tristana and Yasuo at the moment. Tristana's ban rate fell sharply after her nerfs. According to lolking's stats, over the last month, Yasuo has a losing record vs. all popular mid laners in NA, EUW, EUNE, Brazil, and all regions in general in Diamond level (not Challenger) matches. Also, Morgana's ban rate has also been decreasing in general. I don't know if that has been changing at the Challenger level, but I'm assuming that that is the case.
doubleguac1 votesFiddlesticks is an insanely strong pick in solo queue if you're good with him. I think the only reason people don't play him is that he has a high barrier to entry. If you aren't good with your ult, you're practically useless, and his ult requires a lot of practice.
