counterplay for mobility?

So pretty much counter play pretty much means "working around a champ's kit using mobility" running or dodging skill shots... dodging anything and everything tbh and the counterplay for mobility is point and click but then point and click lacks counter play so riot wants to change that but if they do that, then mobility's gonna lack counter play.... so we gotta bring back the point click... but wait where the fk was I going with this

I am soooo confused

Better nerf Veigar.

Slows counter mobility because of their duration. Usually after someone dashes or blinks, they will still retain the slow.

The counterplay for mobility is to take advantage of windows in that mobility, or to put them in a situation where their mobility doesn't matter. CC, tight quarters, or champions who can stick to targets tend to be good here.

In theory.

In practice, Lee Sin and Kalista are bullshit. Fuck those champions.

i had tunnel mindedness when I was coming up with this ;l forgot that skill shots still work on mobile champs once their mobility is down, whenever that is idk

eh counter play is supposed to mean you have multiple choices in dealing with things (outside of never go near that guy ever).

Being able to list lazily to the left or right aren't the only options available. There's also simply giving opponents enough time to cast something like Wind Wall, Counterstrike, Playful/Trickster, Black Shield, Barrier, Zhonya's, Exhaust, or other such moves.

and the counterplay for mobility is point and click

Point-click is not a counter to mobility in any way.

Generally speaking, mobility is amazing in duels and not nearly as useful in team fights. Jump on a solo target and they get the chance to take out 25% of your HP before you reach them? No problem. Jump on a target within their entire team where 4 members burst 25% of your HP each? Problematic.

In large-scale fights range, AoE, and CC tend to be better than mobility (provided you aren't a CC tank with the sole job of Jumping into the enemy team to initiate a fight).

CC in general usually hits mobile champions substantially harder than other champions as well. A lot of mobile champions are designed to move, where immobile champions like Lux, Syndra, Ashe, Varus, Morganna, Anivia, Annie, and more tend to be relatively unphased (provided they aren't in a bad position) - generally due to their massive range/no need to run around to hit things.

Also, Roots actually silence abilities that provide mobility - a Riven that's rooted cannot cast Broken Wings or Valor, and she can only AA someone without the presence of mind to take a step away from her.

but then point and click lacks counter play so riot wants to change that but if they do that, then mobility's gonna lack counter play.... so we gotta bring back the point click... but wait where the fk was I going with this

Point-click is in no ways a counter to mobility.

CC or grouping are way more reliable.

Considering most skillshots have double the range of point-click, changing point-click to skillshots is a buff in many cases as well. Skillshots are also capable of striking targets concealed by fog of war, invisibility, and/or shrubbery: where such targets might as well be Fizz mid Playful/Trickster for point-click. You can also cast skillshots at pursuing targets more than the max range of the shot away, and have them run into the skillshot due to travel times: making skillshots better for dealing with attackers.
