@Riot Spellvamp problems, are you ever going to fix it?

So as we all know Spellvamp is the Mage equivalent of Life Steal. But also as we all know Spellvamp is utterly useless unless you play the very very very few casters that it specifically caters to and works amazingly with. Now as we all know Life Steal pretty much can be used by any AD champion in the game and it do well on them. So is riot going to ever fix spell vamp like they said they will or is it just another forgotten promise? I realize it is difficult to do but i mean come on...it needs to be reworked.

Not really. Zhonya's active is more an appropriate equivalent.

Ultimately life steal allows for sustained damage dealers to sustain through a fight. Hourglass allows burst casters a burst of survival within a fight.

Consequently, Hourglass tends to get a large number of complaints about it's workings/exclusivity similar to life steal.

Spell vamp is more like a Wit's End magic-damage on hit deal compared to Infinity Edge's AD. Very similar stat-wise, not good equivalents in actual gameplay.
