I think that fixing creep block would be a nice buff to melees

It's... years? that people complain about melee vs ranged and stuff like that, but today I've finally figured out a major issue with melee champions: minions block.

I played Taric vs a Cait/Lulu (not the best botlane to pick Taric into but still) and it was god awful. I think I've missed 80% of my Es because creeps kept blocking me while I was trying to hit Cait, resulting in a 50% HP loss for me based exclusively off creep block.

Not sure why it is still a feature to be honest, but making it at least bearable (and it isn't, for some reason it gets worse with time) would nullify a great handicap that melees have over ranged champions.

The thing that's tilting me the most about creep block is how random it is, you can't really control it. Sometimes you just have bad luck and it's the equivalent of getting stunned. Imagine a game where there's a 5% chance of getting stunned for something basic like that. It would be considered a super toxic game element that needs to be removed asap but in the case of League it isn't for some reason, lol.

Yesterday the enemy Ezreal e'd into a cannon wave(he was getting away for sure) and he like glitched between the cannon and the melee creeps. Just like turned back and forth super super fast over and over again till we killed him. Creep Block op...

That happened to me too some time ago. I was stuck into the enemy wave and had to kill every single minion to get out. Like, what the fuck?

I got stuck in a similar way once and then my team started flaming me for inting. T_T

I think if Riot really don't want to remove creep block outright for some reason, I think it'd be a nice compromise to at least make your own creeps not block you.

If you're fighting in a giant wave of your own creeps that's meant to be a good play by you, it really makes very little sense that creep block can screw you over there when you're supposedly doing the right thing. You still get screwed by creep block if you decide to fight in all of their minions, but that's more fair. At least then you don't die because minions that are meant to be on your side stop you from moving or make you path weirdly enough that the enemy can kill you at their leisure.

They shouldn't remove it, because then Ghosted champions lose some of their potency, but they really need to fix this blocking thing. As it stands right now, a stacked minion wave can act like Anivia W.

It would be a nice buff to everyone.

Yep. Maybe decrease the collision awareness for melees? Cuz it's very flawed.

If that kinda shit happens to me I'd just leave.

I think creep aggro also got fucked up in a recent patch.

Creeps seem to have a larger aggro range and a much larger leash range for aggro, especially cannons. It's ridiculous.

To be honest it has always been like that. Not that it's normal, but sometimes it happens that minions follow you in the jungle for miles and/or start attacking you outside your attack range (if you're a ranged champion). Minions AI/hitboxes have always been buggy/inconsistent in League.

Tbh this is the first patch I have seen minions in the jungle in a long long while. Granted they are not following me into bushes and rivers etc. But minions are for fkin lanes dude. Jungle creeps should aggro lane minions and whomp on them if they come into the jungle. That would be lit. Just kiding. Please keep minions in lanes rito.

I had an enemy chicken I left alive so their camp wouldn't respawn I was across my own river and I finally just consumed it.

A few patches going into season 8, Riot stated that they changed [caster] minions to aggro quicker which would ultimately punish ranged champions.

idr all the detail but the notes are somewhere, maybe on the wikia.

It's not just creep block sometimes, champions (even ALLIES) can pin you between a wall. Nearly died when my tank stood between my feathers and the wall

To a small amount, you need the block just so that ranged champions can't just stand in minions and laugh as the melee champion can't get to them. At least if the ranged is in minions, they risk getting trapped.

At the same time though, it's incredibly stupid how I can form a huge minion wave to help take a tower, start attacking the tower as the minions get in range, and then find out I've been completely blocked off by those minions forming up despite there being obvious openings where I should be able to escape but can't. And yeah, those issues really show for melee champions where you go to attack a minion, that minion suddenly aggro something else and takes 2 steps to the right, and now suddenly you can't attack it any more.
