Why Everyone Ganks Bot

I see this brought up on the boards all of the time, usually alongside comments about this season being unfair to bot or something of the like. SO- let's get the reasons why people gank bot in particular.

1. Bot levels slowest. Mid and Top both get solo experience, as does the Jungler, meaning the Bottom lane will always be either matching your level or falling behind. It makes a lot of sense to try ganking the people with lesser abilities.

2. Dragon is down there. Dragon is a team-wide buff that can offer anything your team could want. Damage to turrets and epic monsters, increased regen, more damage, more speed- there is no reason you wouldn't want the dragon.

3. There's more people down there. Because of the ADC + Support relationship, both will likely be in Bot lane. That means if you get a successful gank off- you will have more of a reward since you'll have killed two champions as opposed to one.

4. ADCs are more gold reliant. Even if you do not get a kill, forcing the enemy ADC to back is very effective on its own, because your ADC will be gaining gold and the enemy won't.

5. ADCs are easier to gank. They seldom have crowd control, slows, and escapes (the latter is less than the former two but still counts) to prevent the Jungler from catching them. Compare this to Mid with Mages and Assassins, where they tend to pack CC or mobility, or Top, where they tend to have both CC and ways to sustain in battle.

6. Tower defenses are lower. A good decision or a bad one, that's one reason people gank bot. Not the only reason, but one of them. The tower will fall easier than any other tower. And with the first turret gold- it makes sense to go for the weakest one.
