How can a Gold be this bad?

Is there any possible way? Like these people DESERVE to be name shamed (but I won't). So we were winning this game, I completely stomped top lane and jungle was way ahead, mid was equal and bot was kinda losing. We were destroying them in teamfights though cause of me and the jungler. And what did everyone decide to do instead of teamfighting once and ending? LETS GO SPLITPUSH! ITS SUCH A GOOD IDEA WHEN WE STOMP TEAMFIGHTS! I kept telling them to group and win one fight to end before they become too strong, but no lets all split and try and take all the turrets for no goddamn reason when we can easily beat them in a teamfight.

Is it actually humanely possible to be this bad at both logic and League? Hell, I would have won that game if my teammates were all bronze because they'd actually listen to me.
