When he came out on the PBE, I thought he was alright (I actually hadn't seen his entire kit) Now, I took some time to really see what his kit really was about. Then I checked winrates because why not:

TOP SETT HAS A 56% WR WITH 18% PR AND 54% BAN. WHAT THE FUCK He is 2nd on jungle with a 53% wr. On mid he has like 54% wr but with 0.9% pick rate.

Just by LOOKING at his kit, by GLANCING, you can see what's wrong with it. Why does he have health regen based on missing health? seriously, why? He has laughably low cooldowns on his W and Q. Like what in the world are these devs thinking? Are they trying to push people away from this game?

He has more than 50% wr in EVERY rank except for challenger. Most are actually 55% winrate.

So, just as a recap, their latest releases:

Sett : 55% WR after a couple of weeks.

Aphelios : supposed to be "the hardest champion to play in LoL"; ended up being just a smashing-buttons broken joke.

Senna : an "innovative" support; warnings about another "Pyke 2.0" weren't listen; now she's better as ADC, strong in lane and scaling.

The health regen is fine. His damage is overtuned. I'd rather he stay a durable fighter that with a good ult can punish heavy frontlines, but his Q and W don't need to be doing as much damage as they currently do.

Meanwhile in pro play Sett under 5% presence because he actually sucks. Imagine losing to Volibear 2.0 LOL

I destroyed a sett top lane with illaoi. It was so funny. I had so much healing that he couldn't even try to 1v1 me. The worst part was that he never dodged my E so he was always taking damage. And when he got too close I used my nearby tenticle and hit him with my W for good damage. He had to keep recalling back to base.. I outfarmed him and locked down his lane. It was good stuff.

Imagine complaining about a champion that has to walk up to you and has no dashes. Imagine complaining about a skill that has a huge wind up that you can walk out of. Imagine complaining about Sett when ashe exists in the game.

The health regen was designed to help him through ranged matchups granted he has no functional way to lane against range. I still think they should pull power out of his w and give it to the rest of his kit, because when you stop and look at the numbers, the rest of his kit really isn’t that great. His ultimate is deceptively weak because the damage falloff begins insanely quickly.

While his passive is fine for me. Someone think otherwise: DrMundo "Mundo sad."

(But maybe it means that Mundo Rework is in the works and might be released for the second half of the year)

Just make W physical damage.

honestly im surprised by how well sett does. i know his basestats are insane but idk.

  1. he isnt as overloaded as other champs
  2. he has almost no mobility
  3. his passive lifereg isnt THAT high before lv 11 and in a burst meta lifereg really isnt that strong

his w starts with 16 sec cooldown which is okay.

... His Q and R are the only abilities that have a low CD.... W is at best 10s before CDR and is maxed second, which is on the higher end for non CC abilities. His Q is his bread and butter, and only actual spamable ability, and is essentially an empowered auto reset on a melee champ. His ult is low CD compared to other ults, but is still not lux levels of spam. Its once per fight.
