Ok but this new Aatrox buff is literally Spear of Sojin without the full item or the need to aa

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Riot is running out of ideas for how they should balance their game. Nothing was op with Aatrox besides his early game harass and ability to team fight in the lcs. Now, that they realize removing his second e was bad and not nerfing his Q damage was a mistake, they hide it behind his new free item 3161 ult and pretend like they didn't gut out depressed demon boy.

Change got pulled.

Just bring back defense and make it so damage dealers have to use skill instead of instantly killing. We won’t have these shit problems anymore.

The heal part was a good change IMO even if it did remove the revive, but the no cd Q was just too much.

If they still wanna go with that I think it'd be better if they just made his ultimate reduce his Q cd by some percentage that scales up with ult level, something like 20%/30%/40%.

"its literally this item except it does nothing that the item does except reduce CDS", so its literally the same as every cdr item, illaoi ult, kat passive etc.

I don't think they ever intended for this to ship, but were just gathering the community's thoughts, and making a note that they were looking into messing with Aatrox a bit more.

On a serious note, Yes his new ultimate would've been very fitting of him but it sounds overpowered I would like if they kept the healing chance as his current bloodwell feels very bad to use and it just feels unfair and unlucky if it runs out last second or they simply wait it out Aatrox seemed in a fine spot, I don't like how his kit is centered around one ability but it worked well, Sure he was annoying and oppressive in lane but that was the point, He's supposed to be an early game lane bully who peaks mid game and falls off late, and it certainly felt like that If they just wanted to buff him, Revert the most recent nerf to his E, give back some of the healing and his second E, Removing them really really screwed him over, and reduce his Q damage late game And after that they could possibly increase his W damage and decrease his Q so he's not entirely centered around one ability

They changed so much tough and for better. It was beyond stupid that people would literally wait for your R to finish and kill you right after, with this one you get healed even if you don't die in the end of his ultimate. I think they took the right decision, it's just a shame that he lost the iconic revive that he had. Also, everytime he casts his Q, his E's cooldown reset. Truly a ultimate worthy of the name "World Ender"
