in lane against a darius, the only counter play is to sit so far under your turret, you arent even in lane. Its not fun to play against. and he never falls off. i think his mid game might not be as strong, but it is still OP as shit. fix this thing

to fight against Darius use a range champion ask for a ton of ganks or wait til he uses his Q to even try trading with him

after late game the only thing you can do is attempt to kite him, or be a Jax / Garen while Darius is the enemy

Garen late game doesnt fare any better against darius than garen early game, it just takes longer for darius to kill garen I guess. Darius v garen late game boils down to darius five stacking garen and then moving on to enemy midline/backline, MAYBE peeling garen off his carries if he gets to them with apprehend.

Jax is quite a bit better and can duel darius late game so long as he respects the true damage potential from guillotine since jax never gets as healthy as other top laners get. Darius usually has better teamfight than jax since he can peel jax if he jumps on the carries. However, if darius for whatever reason has apprehend on cd and jax goes in then things can get very tricky for darius since he cant burst jax fast enough to protect carries without apprehend.

Champs that may be weak early but can really give darius a run for his money are: fiora, (believe it or not) aatrox, assuming he can somehow reach like 600+ stacks nasus, trundle (not weak early against darius), and illaoi.

On the aatrox point thats for dueling. Darius is an infinitely better teamfighter and can just stick to teams when aatrox's dueling power exceeds his.

sorry, but no, the Cane sadly falls off against a late game Darius :/ while Nasus builds full armor/health Darius still 5 hits, uses Guillotine, and gets the kill

All I said was "run for his money"

As a Darius OTP I understand that post juggy darius easily duels nasus at all stages but it's not uncommon for nasus, in a 1v1, to beat darius after a certain point of the game. Typically if the game drags for so long that he gets an insane amount of stacks, nasus CAN beat darius. Darius still has way better teamfighting and that never changes (unless nasus gets like 1200+ stacks).

not even then . . . most games aren't an hour, your stacking falls off late game as you don't do quite as much damage to the scaling minions and you have to stay with your team in team fights

the game will nearly always end before any pro Nasus player gets to 1k stacks and 1k stacks does next to nothing against Darius if you're building tank Nasus if you're building ad Nasus he can shred you even easier

No 1k stacks will hurt. It wont chunk you incredibly hard but it will hurt

now thats what i call balance. if there is a darius on the enemy team, you need an infinitely stacking champion to get to thousands of stacks so they can just kill darius

Darius is pretty strong, but not overly so. He doesn't need any nerfs.

As a Darius main, I know his ins and outs. He's not as strong as you think, really. As VivaLaKitten said, out-ranging him can really throw a wrench in a Darius player's plans. Or, if you don't want to be ranged, be a mobile melee-range champion. Darius is not a very mobile guy. His W and E are his only real CC and if the Darius player burns those in not-too smart ways, you already have the upper hand. If you've already gotten close to him, you can easily prevent him from healing with his Q, too. That's just a few things, I could go for awhile on other ways to beat a Darius, because it is possible.

He has weak points, it's just a matter of exploiting them at the right time.

Darius isnt game phase oriented, he's conditional on getting five stacks (whether from a dunk reset or from stacking up good ol fashioned way).

Kite him and deny decimate stack applications.

As a melee dont be afraid to fight him but keep an eye on the amount of stacks you have. Try and rotate twoards the back or otherwise away from him. If you are the team's ONLY frontline then that's kind of shitty team drafting unless you have something like a poke draft (then you guys should just be kiting him anyways instead of trying to head on fight).
