Can someone help me find Rumble's counterplay?

I've noticed that rumble, almsot never played is REALLY strong and I can't seem to find any weaknesses in his kit, any help?

He's melee and has no sustain. Poke him down in lane. Trade in short bursts when his Q is down. If he ever overheats, go all-in on him. Don't stand on his ult.

and that, people is how you counter play a rumble. must add: when he overheats, his basic attacks do more damage, but not by a great amount (about 30% of ap). if he miss his ult, you can try go all in on him. he can't trade on burst, only on harass/poke or dps. notice he can do burst-trades in the early game, but it get worse as game progress. also when he is on the danger zone is the best time to try a all-in burst trade. his late game isn't great, just decent.

and most of his damage is on his Q and Ult.

Hello! Rumble player here.

Rumble is a good harasser of melee Champions, but he has some problems versus range. Poking him down is a viable solution. Secondly, his strength in harass is balanced out by his poor trading. He doesn't really have any strong burst or anything, he just wants to harass you. If you get in a trade with him and unload your spells, you should win the trade. If Rumble accidentally overheats, go on him. He's really weak then because he doesn't have any spells. Rumble is a really heavy pusher and his escaping ability is poor. Try to get your jungler's or middle laner's attention up top. Give up CS if Rumble is going to punish you too much for it. If you can force Rumble to trade with you at 80+ Heat, then he will overheat in battle, most likely giving you the advantage. Magic Resist is a good buy if you're getting punished really badly. Be careful about trading with Rumble when he's at 40-55 Heat. That is the threshold in which he can use all three spells then overheat, which will give him a huge advantage in a fight.

watch his champion vid, also if you need to.... buy him and play him just to see his cooldowns/spells

rumble naturally pushes lane, ask for ganks early, respect his push but...

the key to beating rumble in lane is his "overheat"

try out MonkeyKing Pantheon , almost never had a problem beating rumble in lane unless hes really really good.

p.s. dodge his harpoon things they hurt like hell and slow u down a shit ton

He has no escapes and due to his flamethrower he will be pushing lane most of the time.

His earlygame is insane. But after lvl 6 most of the duellants like Irelia Fiora Riven Renekton have no probleme dealing with rumble. Try buying item 3155 early
