Yea, but as we all know, you don't balance a game around win rates.

The changes that hit champions are rarely based on their win rates, but instead on whether the champion has reasonable counter play. Azir doesn't really have any counter play since he has huge range, and constant damage. Most mages with range have to worry about CD's, but since he is AA based he doesn't. He also has strong CC. He, just like many of the other unique champions that are being complained about within our community (and abused in professional play) are a concern because of the things they CAN do, not what an average of very few good players and many many shitty players can do with them.

Lee is an issue, not because he magically wins you a game, but because of the things he can do and the plays he can set up with a lack of input from the other team. Do i think Lee needs more nerfs? No, but i understand why people complain.

Rek creates powerful global pressure and just the threat of her ult can stop teams from trying/taking objectives. That and her damages on release were pretty stupid. I bought her, joined a game, killed 7 people, then decided to read her abilities. I had even maxed W first i think. It was dumb.

Zed's ult has counterplay, and i believe his power is reasonable in lane (i do not play zed, i play against zed). The issue people have is that he has the ability to do more damage than AP mids, but for free since he is an energy champion. Even in match ups where he has less damage he will just out sustain a mid laner since he'll have lifesteal and very full mid laners rock the spell vamp (cause its bad for aoe). Zed's balanced around what he CAN do, thus his recent nerfs. He CAN not only destory you with auto attacks, but kill you like an AD caster (talon/graves). Then on top of that 1v2 both your carries, and split push...then get away almost free (if he knows what he is doing).

EDIT: Malz has been 53%+ for the last 2 years. lol No changes for him. He wins because he isn't popular, only people that actually know how to play malz play him. If he was more popular his win rate would certainly be lower since people would learn how to play against him. Same thing with Yorick. He will almost always win lane, even in match ups that are not favorable for him since so few people know how to play against him...because you almost NEVER see him.

Azir does have counterplay. It's called his god-awful early game that isn't fun to play in any way, shape, or form. Your AS is so low that it feels incredibly clunky, repositioning your soldiers is a nightmare because you have to save your Q to poke with, and until you hit CDR cap it pretty much stays like this.

Lee, IMO, could have a rework done on his E and he'd be fine. Simply put, if he lost the ability to ward-jump, but had the range on the ability increased, I think that would make Lee a lot better, in that he'd have to rely on his teammates to position well, instead of being able to pull off big plays by himself. It would also open up more opportunities to make the big plays if you co-ordinate with your team.

Zed, I feel, needs a nerf to his waveclear. Perhaps more of his damage could be moved to his shadow? (maybe shift 25% of his current damage into the damage mimic'd by the shadow)

You run Azir top and his early game is anything but weak. You run him mid and even if you have zero kill pressure you have no problem CSing. When champions have a weak early game all they need to do is CS...which he can do without penalty.

I think Lee is what they think about when they say #LCSBigPlays, so they are prolly very weary about changing him.

Idk, they already made it so Zed doesn't get much out of building attack speed and as such his split pushing is weaker. Thats one of the aspects they wanted to nerf, idk what they'll be doing next.

Because win rates are definitely a great way to judge champion OP'ness and/or toxicity. Also, what rank/division is this for? The Bronze/Silver/Gold tiers, which make up substantially more players, will have a drastically different set of winrates than your Plat/Diamond/Challenger tiers.

Why dont you also list total game W/L? Im sure malzahar will have a much lower total game amount than, say, lee sin.

Win rate isn't the only factor to whether a champ is OP.

You also have to consider:

  1. How big is their player base?
  2. Is there specific items a particular champ always build?
  3. Where are their player base located in rank?
  4. How many games are being played with them?

etc etc.

If a champ has high popularity across all rank, high-ish ban rate, high amount of games played but a sub 50% win rate, is this champ balanced? The answer is actually: Most likely no.

Win rate by itself doesn't mean anything.

Say what you want, zed and lee sin are not on the list. Everyone says that lee sin and zed are the two most ridiculously op champions in the game. If they would be, they would be on the list. It's that simple.

someone seems to be dodging the question since he knows his "argument" is flawed at best
