Sigh. They really want to basically list ALL supports.
Basically, if you attempt to play all supports, you will stagnate, because you will choose the wrong one for different scenarios.
From my Experience, There are only 3 supports that essentially don't fit that pattern:

The others, even
, suffer counterplay, skill matchups, or lack agency at some point during a game.
contains the strongest localized heals in the game, has some of the best consistent damage harass of any healer, and more importantly, has the strongest move speed hit in the game. Most games with her forgive you for not advancing boots, and because her bonus is Flat Move speed, and lots of it, it scales hard with basic healer items. She also has the strongest kit to abuse
.
But more importantly, she has constant access to crowd control, especially AOE stuns. If you increase your skill level, she can literally manage to bubble 3-4 in one bubble, which means pursuing her often doesn't work, if she knows how to hit.
P.S. ALWAYS go
on her. NOT
. It's better in every sense of mana sustain, more reliable gold, more move speed, and doesn't risk mage supports or long range adcs from poking you out of the lane through mana consumption on heals. If a lane is hard, you can just play passive and focus on staying alive, rather than starving for gold because you can't get close enough to harass enough to maximize a Spellthief.
is a hidden pocket support champ. Although her kit is pretty much damage, and you need to learn to use
correctly to efficiently scale (getting the quest completed at 8:00 vs getting it done at 15-20:00 ....).
If you can learn to not be suicidal with her R and primarily concentrate on hitting Q's for your team to abuse, she can utterly make a game one sided, because her localized root goes up to 3 seconds, making it one of the longest cc in the game.
I must stress a few things:
-Great support vs
teams, because of her True Sight and latch on R's.
-If you're slow, you will feed. If you go pure AP, you might feed (sometimes a tank build with Transcendence carries more than an AP one)
-Overabuse of
is actually BAD on Morgana. 1) it anchors you, so targets can just walk out of your ult. It's better to stalk them if possible. 2) It often puts you in a position where good players are waiting for your Zhonya's to end to eliminate you.
-Your adcs often feel like you're not there with Morgana. They expect you to be a Black Shield battery, to always have it up, and to always use it on THEM. So you have to learn to deal with crying adcs who think tanks or enchanters are better co-laners. They just often don't see the OP Q's as a support feature.
Has some of the best zoning in the game, and her Q has some of the longest range agency in the game. If you can learn to cast her Q on seeds BEHIND enemy minions and closer to adcs/supports, you can effectively use her
, and put the other lane behind nearly every game.
She does struggle with her limited CC; E has a really low duration root, so don't over rely on it in lane. It's more of an escape feature/wave clear feature after your quest is done. What really makes her good is that her plants when uses correctly can create instant fields of damage that take opponents quite a while to clear or avoid. Most adcs will pop via the damage after awhile, and she also melts tanks after she has

Zyra dies the most of these three. However, her real opponents don't come from bot lane. They're generally top laners like
..... divers who can get in real fast, ignore spell delays, and use a % missing health skill to finish Zyra off before she finishes them off.
Because of this, it's generally good to get
and Relentless Hunter, because a fast Zyra who can avoid directly being in combat fairs far better than a slow one who can never do so.
And,
are two of the best champs in the game to abuse the new
on. If you can manage
on either of them, you will purely shut down sustain teams just by being alive, and your damage will punch holes in them, and your cc will allow your team to finish the job on anyone you fail to kill.
Any other supports are generally traps. Although some perform well in certain roles, once you are in elos where people know how to play, they often completely predict your play style, and will more often than not make your support agency more about luck than skill.
will fall off, because the other lane will practice better positioning and more aggressive wave clear, meaning they will have waves that survive longer. His games basically become about what he can do through well warded jungle walls and at drake and ward destruction.
has a lot of neat tricks, but early game is extremely prone to being punished. If he misses a hook due to his predictable windup, it's easy to punish and put him behind fast. More annoying once he has Mobis, and can have about as much cc agency as a
, BUT..... he can't heal out of it. In other words, he's a great mid-late tank, good at keeping himself alive, but because a healer has as much cc agency as him, the healer is a better pick. He's probably the rank 5 or 6 support for game control, but that's still exponentially behind a champ like Nami.
has a lot of neat tricks, but his W is avoidable most of the time, and his Q is very unreliable in lane. If you can make him miss, all he has is his R and his E bounces. This makes him the easiest to shut down tank/enchanter in the game. Now, he is far stronger with a Xayah, so there's that. If a team is good, they generally cc him during his R, because while his R is powerful, it doesn't stop him from being cc'd, which means you can make him entirely worthless.
is actually a better jungler than a lane support. In lane she's dictated by the poke, and everyone avoids her E range. She is wasted about 80% of the lane phase, and if she does go in, she's got 2 people beating on her. She's a good setup for a
duo, but a strong counter support pick like
or
can counter it and force her to receive far more damage than she enables. Personally, I jungle her because she can absolutely oppress lane ganks when she doesn't have to deal with primary minion waves and minion aggro as much, and can shut down tops/mids far stronger than bots. Very good champ. just underutilized in support. (She's probably rank 5 Support in game, but her lack of agency in some matchups just puts her so far behind the top 3)
