feels like Pro Mid laners are still playing mage not because they are any good but..

Because they are confort picks for them..

Dont get me wrong but like i didnt feel like the mages at worlds had much impact..

There was the epic shockwaves and combo here and there that where enabled by pretty much no counterplay engage like rakan n stuff but the fights where way too 1 sided arround the adc its kinda sad...

You are getting punished way too much for building AP right now because the enemy only needs 1 out of all the super powerful MR items to make ur life really bad while ur actually getting punished for building too much armor because it feels really lack luster compared to MR at a ridiculous level... (against adc only)

Also i think ardent is a little overtuned.. just a little bit.

The sad thing is that i think its cuz Riot balance team is a little too bias arround low skill cap and against high skill cap gameplay in a strategy game which like kinda doesnt make sense tbh but ok..

i mean just think if there was a support items that would make mid laner super broken so that high skill cap mid laners would become beyond broken for whatever reason the top mid lane pool is Zed Azir Viktor Ekko velkoz gangplank etc... with 54% win rate and above

That item would get auto hotfixed and the champions would get nerfed for no reason even tough they where fine before the item was introduced..

For some reason its not right for high skill cap champions to have a high win rate but its totally fine for no skill cap or borderline negative skill cap champions lilke malz twitch maokai to peak 55%+ win rates and its K?

Because bias balance team and its too obvious.

Ok, let me address this: Mages are underwhelming at Worlds, because Ardent is too strong and buffs ADCs so much they overshadow everyone else. Since teams design their entire game strategy to get this item and their ADC ahead and safe, they go barrier/heal bot and stuff like that.

Personally, I actually believe a support item which would buff mages would lead to some interesting changes in meta, due to the fact that mid laners and support usually don't spend as much time in near proximity. Botlane Ziggs would rise in popularity again.

Maokai certainly is on the strong side currently, however, he always was. Twitch for me is really hard to play. Since there is so much focus on ADCs recently, one mistake where you overstep and singlehandedly lose your team the game. Ask Rekkles about his IMT game. For Malz I would like to introduce the theory that he profits from the passive, protective support meta, which allows him to stand still and ult someone during teamfights. Furthermore, Malz is on of the strongest picks to lock down one important target. An insanely fed, buffed up Kog'Maw for example, or stop Seju form engaging onto your adc.

Riot published a blog where they spoke about assassins usually having a winrate below 50%. They main argument was, that Assassins are very dependent on the game and can be counterpicked and counteritemized way easier than a controllmage.

I'd love to see an item that empowers the next non-ultimate spell with something like a 20 percent damage increase, or gives it some effect like CC, damage reduction to the enemy, or something else lucrative.

Weird. I mentioned new item for apc and people considered that horrible idea.

Oh boy who would have guessed when litterally all items but crit and support items have been gutted, worlds would be centered around bot lane?

-MYMU nerfed all magic damage items down from 120 to 100 ap and moved that power onto the now super clunky rabadons deathcap

-tanks itemization also sucks. Sunfire (and basically all other armor items) nerfed into oblivion while the options against magic damage are bigger than ever. Tank junglers build freaking locket and knights vow now because all else sucks

Regular AD/lifesteal items were also nerfed, but then LATER on buffed again. And then crit gets a buff.

And for ardent censor and redemption...?

Looks like bot lane itemization just is way too efficient and gets your scaling much beyond all others scaling (you get more stats for pretty much the same price, leaving you with earlier power spikes yet still the same stupid late game)
