How are ppl afraid of Ekko again?

Look guys, I just don't see it, maybe I just have bad ekko Players I've been going against. Maybe people just learned how to counter it, I'm not LCS player. But so far every game I've went against an ekko that went that tank build has been deleted to no end.

I feel like people play him simply because he isn't banned and forgot the league rule number 72: if you pick a top ban you have to also know how to play it.

Thing is: he's just annoying, that's all. And if he does take a minimal advantage he becomes an unkillable death machine. H'es possible to deal with, but it's a pain to do so and most top laners can't really counter him, they will hardly die, but they can't really kill him so it becomes a boring lane where no one can do anything about the other. Also he does have a bit too much damage for a tank but that's it. At least for me.

That's pretty much it. his base damage is high enough that he's a constant diving threat to carries, but with a free escape and bonus shielding he's free to just dive in and harass before he backs out to frontline. He's a powerful zoning tool and strong split-pusher as a tank--but that's really about all it boils down to. He's not picked for his laning or skirmishing.

Yeah, and that's why he's annoying: he's got a shitton of cc, like any other tank really, but he's also got good mobility and a free reset button. He's not really stronger or better than say a Malphite or a Nautilus or even a Maokai (just to name some Ap Tanks), who have far more reliable CC and are natural tanks (so they become tankyer than ekko), but he brings more damage than them and more safety with pretty much the same amount of cc, so he can be harder to deal with under the right circumstance (you can dodge an ekko stun even by clumping together if you walk out of it but you can't block a malphite's/nautilus' ult).

Tru that, but trust me tankko is a monster if ya know how to play him correctly. I usually start with iceborn, sunfire, and spirit visage. Once I do those three, except the base turrets, every turret basically tickles. I mean, you get like over 30 health bars and it can take out one at a time. Even if you are behind, once tankko completes his main build and if the enemy has no tank, you can win. That is why he is considered broken by a lot because even without skill, you can beat an enemy team as long as they are not extremely fed and have no good tank. But if the enemy team has mao, that takes skill to hard carry you team and Ekko can hard carry so hard at the end. Why people are afraid of him in my opinion is his cc and mobility. True, he is tanky, but tanks can be whittled down with a team. However, his cc basically can cancel all focus on you if placed well. Not only that, you are like the most mobile tank, so it's easy to dive and kill someone even if they are leblanc.

Let's not forget the constant slows on a stupidly low cooldown with the way CDR is handed out on items now and if you are anything but a tank yourself you will not be escaping him. Flash? Pointless with his double dash and Flash too. Going to trade? Well you might not do much damage and while he doesn't hurt a lot he has his 3-hit passives, slows, shields, stuns and massive speed boost.

His entire kit is simply too much for any champion to escape. I even remember having issues getting away from him as Kassadin so that should tell you something. Oh let's also not forget if you ever get close to killing him he just uses his ult and heals as he escapes. It might not be a lot if he builds full tank but any healing is better than none and the utility of that ult cannot be understated.

People are afraid of Ekko the same way they are afraid of Teemo. He is annoying as hell to play against. In Ekko's case, he is very high reward, low risk. He may be the safest champ on the rift.
