How about making sightstone upgrade in some way after generating X gold with support items?

My idea is that Sightstone/ Ruby Sightstone gets a little powerup that gives you something when you generate let's say 500 gold from your Gold Income (support) item.

This guarantees that junglers aren't getting this benefit and gives supports another reason to actually try to use the passives.

Here are some suggestions (though kinda random and probably not interesting) just to give an example.

Talisman of Ascension

Upon generating 500 gold with the Favor passive, your Sightstone/Ruby sightstone gives you 25 out of combat movespeed for 2 seconds.

Frost Queen's Claim

Upon generating 500 gold with the Tribute passive, your Sightstone/Ruby Sightstone wards that expire grant you 0.5 ability power.

Face of the Mountain

Upon generating 500 gold with the Spoils of War passive, your Sightstone/Ruby Sightstone wards that expire grant you 0.5 Armor or Magic Resist (whichever is lower)

What I had in mind was the types of supports that tend to buy these.

  • Talisman is bought by ranged utility supports that mostly rely on using their spells to help their carry so I don't think they need any combat stats.

  • Frost Queen's is bought mostly by pokey supports that wouldn't mind doing a little bit more damage.

  • Face is bought by tanky supports so they need tank stats I guess.

Sooo yeah, these could be extremely useless, overpowered, random or just plain boring but this is my idea. So what do you guys think?

As a support main I actually like this idea, I don't know how easy it would be to implement it though.

I don't like this idea as much as removing them completely and doubling down on trinkets as the future of the vision system. But if they're not going to do that, this might be an alternative.

Why do you not want to reward jungler sightstones though? Do junglers not deserve to get something back when they sacrifice gold for their team's vision? I don't think anyone wants to go back to "if it involves vision, then only the support should be doing it or thinking about it at all", hell, in some elos we haven't even left that mentality yet.
