Syndra is becoming Mordekaiser 2.0

I know that this should be posted in "Report a bug" but I'm posting this here so I can raise Riot's awareness about this BIG issue.

So, since 7.10 Syndra has been bugged and nothing was done about it. Now, in 7.22, Syndra has even more bugs than before and a lot of them are GAMEBREAKING and seem to happen way too often.

  1. Stutter step bug: after ulting, Syndra's model desyncs and she starts moving in a laggy way. This could cost you a death and it's extremely annoying for people who play with fixed camera. This bug has been out for TWELVE patches despite being already fixed in the past (it's not the first time this bug appears).
  2. Ghost spheres bug: sometimes, Syndra's spheres become untargetable for her W and E; this happens almost exclusively after the bug number 1, the stutter step bug. Basically, after Syndra uses her ultimate, the spheres thrown with her ult and/or created after casting her ultimate start moving randomly around Syndra and can't be controlled with her other spells. This could fuck a whole fight up. Let's pretend that you want to R someone and then E to have an AoE stun, well it could happen that NOT A SINGLE SPHERE gets knocked back because they're bugged. You lose a fight, and you could potentially lose a game too.
  3. W recasting bug: our last "big bug" that happens kinda often after 7.22. After casting W on a minion, it gets released behind Syndra and her W goes on cooldown instantly. This is MASSIVE in laning phase because your W becomes unrealiable and could lose you a trade. Happens multiple times during a single game and my last game with Syndra was a W bug shitfest.

Now, I understand that some bugs are hard to fix and take time and effort, but right now picking Syndra puts you at a disadvantage because a lot of things in her kit are bugged and unreliable. Despite all those bug reports, nothing has been done and Riot seems to avoid talking about it.

Please, fix at least some of those bugs. I'm tired of having games where sometimes my QE just doesn't work and fucks my kill up.

Shaco has a few bugs like dying mid ult

Ezreal recently had a q bug and he’s already a mosquito for how goddamn annoying he is

Twisted Fate has a weird animation cancel where he stutter steps during his q. Apdo takes advantage of this often and LS demonstrates how he does it

Ez seems pretty bugged with the new double Muramana proc; TF had (or still has) that suicide bug, where he kills himself with his basic attack; i dunno about shaco, but i would definitively be worry if i was in his place.

She has a terrible winrate on this patch and it isn't because of runes it's because of all the bugs that make her frustrating to play, and Riot won't even address or bother to fix them. A lot of them have been lingering for patches, but the added ones in 7.22 just made it more unbearable.

What's the point of playing burst champions if you don't one shot people when you are over fed? Might as well play a DPS champion at that point so you can 4 shot them in 1.5 seconds instead :^)

As I said, there's no reason to pick Syndra right now. You could end up losing a game because of those bugs. Sad, but true. Until they fix at least 2 of the major bugs, Syndra will be in a weird, weak spot.

Always wondered what people are smoking when they see syndra is bad with new runes. Played her once, stomped and thought well same as ever but reading these bugs... that's crucial in every scenario if that happens to you. I seem to have been lucky in my game or didnt notice and just thought i fucked up nevertheless that might explain her poor winrate.

The bugs are fairly rare or they consistently when you are doing a quick combo (see the w + ult bug). But they are piling up kinda quickly. Her mordekaiser and azir are the buggy trifecta

Actually the runes are also pure garbage for her.

The bugs alone are not causing her winrate to be this low. They all existed pre patch and the rate of the bugs has not increased significantly enough to cause her winrate to tank by 2%.

Are the bugs a problem? Yes, of course they are. Would it help to fix them? No shit. Would she be a good or even decent champ if they were fixed? No, she has other major problems.

She's overnerfed due to proplay, she has poor synergy with runes and she's being overran by overpowered AD mids. If you want Syndra to be decent these issues are more important than the bugs.

Tons of bugs get fixed EVERY patch you realize there's literally a mountain of shit Riot needs to work on fixing every day just with bugs alone. And some are not as easy as "we know about it now it's fixed tomorrow"

It's not the first time Syndra bugs pile up and those bugs are around for a LONG time.

Do you know how long it took them to deal with most Syndra bugs from the last batch Overlord Forte provided? Less than a patch cycle.

Do you know how long the thread remained without any kind of fix attempt? 9 months.

So, yes. It is as easy as "we know about it, now it's fixed tomorrow" because that's what happened before already. All you need is to care to do it.

At least back when Syndra's stun wasn't working somebody from Riot went out of their comfort zone and asked for information.

Ah, so thats why i stutter with her after an ultimate sometimes. So far ive been lucky and havent straight lost a fight with her because of it yet. Sad that riot refuses to fix her because she really is my favorite mid laner.

I find it hilarious you have to post about gameplay impacting bugs outside the bug report forum in order to garner attention to it.

It just tickles me, because it smacks of 'scream loudly until someone pays attention'. There's almost no point in doing due process if that's the chief way.

I recall one of her bugs that actually happened in LCS (aka lots of publicity and probably wasn't fixed) was that sometimes upon ulting, the orbs will actually target 2 different targets. It happened in a TSM C9 game, and the ult ended up killing the person it wasn't intended to target.

A while ago, a Rioter said that fixing bugs like Syndra's stutter step or Jayce's animations breaking is just pointless and a waste of resources. So I wouldn't expect much.

But really, how do any of Syndra's bugs impact their income potential? Fixing it would cost money, and they're not losing money for them, so...

That's about the only situation they would, yeah. Or if they're releasing a new skin and want to make sure people buy it (let's be honest, they weren't expecting people to buy Syndra's SG skin. They were banking on Ez and Ahri).

Syndra bypassed morde since she came out back in 2012. Even on this very day, there are bugs present from her release. Riot simply doesn't care about Syndra, they never really did. Otherwise these gamebreaking bug's would've been fixed by now. Riot hasn't even said a single word about Syndra's current state.

Put any of her bugs on any popular champion like Lee, Vayne, Ahri, Zed and they'll be hotfixed. Imagine Zed or Ahri using their ultimates but then not being able to use their other 3 spells for a good few seconds. What's worse than being minion blocked? Being blocked by your character models' spheres.

Mordekaiser 2.0? Syndra was the OG Mordekaiser. Syndra is one of the most historically buggy champions in the game. There were numerous times where pure bugginess completely removed her from the meta.

Let's not forget Viktor, the original champion of bugs. Riot used to fix one bug on him and introduce two more - including funny things like completely invisible lasers, taking control of Annie's bear alongside his ultimate and hilarious interaction with old TF's passive which basically gave him a full build worth of gold in a single ultimate cast.

Azir is notable in that his bugs became immediately apparent and were worked on ... pretty much from the get go. So, the severity of his issues were visible very early on.

For the first 1-2 years--years, not months or weeks--Syndra's stun had a 50% or higher chance of 'not working'. The sphere would pass through the target and apply no CC at all. On the skill that critically defines her ability to engage or protect herself. It still took around 6 months before the first serious fix was applied to it after multiple frontpage reddit threads, and several more were needed to make it serviceable.

It's still bugged today, but right now the current version causes her stun to fail when it's cast during her death animation (so she dies, and a sphere is in motion--this sphere does not stun, even though it should).

The stutter step bug mentioned above has existed as long as her champion has, despite multiple fixes toward it. etc.

I'd need to some evidence on that one as I've not heard of any bugs arising there. Isometric can make the spheres look weird even if it is technically correct.

I don't know dude. I was playing morde in ascension, ulted and killed a garen. For some reason he was pretty slow like my rylais was still affecting him, but at least he was perma spinning

I really wouldn't call her Mordekaiser 2.0 since I think his bug list is well over like 300 now and I think the game breaking list is well over 50, that original post for morde was like 8 months to a year ago, their is probably a metric butt ton more with the new pre-season stuff.

I think she is the only champion with turn speed in League because of that first bug. It's not even contextual. It's literally permanent turn speed and i always found it super annoying.
