If balance is improved, then it shows Riot the community should be involved in game balance. Better balance. If balance worsens, then all the QQ posters on Boards will stop posting so that we can actually look at meaningful content. Better forum content.
It's a win-win scenario.

Assuming they came to a compromise, there's still no way that they had done their work and included all the important variables to come to a balanced decision.
The bias, ignorance, and simple lack of experience makes this impossible.

There are very few people who could leave out bias toward certain champs when balancing. And this is only the bias part of what you said. Hoooo boy.

So if we had 10k people in balance and they all independently guessed a value for Ekko's base with the idea of it being the most balanced, the average of those guesses would most likely be the most balanced.

Except most of the people who post are those who are not happy with the way it is; if you think Ekko is fine you aren't very likely to come here and post, but if you think he's overpowered/underpowered/etc. you are very likely to come and post your thoughts. Since most of the people who come right now are those annoyed at Ekko you'd likely find the average to be much too low, just like if you asked for the average of Yorick most people would likely consider him needing buffs because he's played less without knowing WHY he was nerfed to begin with.

Every couple days Riot starts a vote on something about balance, and the community votes. Then Riot makes it and we play. It would be kinda fun to see what would happen.
