Damn, what happened to Tahm Kench?

I was just looking over some changes that happene dwhile I was gone, and when I came to one of my favorite heroes, Tahm Kench, I was really shocked.

I mean... what happened here? Was there a time when he was absolutely broken, with like 60% winraten and pick ban statur in the last 6 months? Did some Items totaly break him?

Because he got totaly gutted in 2 Patches, what was the reason behind that?

Yeah, poor Kench was being used as a fallout shelter in pro play. So they made it so he's an offensive tank... despite having the worst mobility in the game aside from Mordekaiser.

Wait... wasnt that exactly what he was supposed to be when he was released? That was his whole deal, wasnt it? That he could get a squishy out of a sticky situation...

Problem was that he was able to do that every engage. It's boring to play against. Morgana Q hits the carry? Tahm just eats him. And when the next Q hits? He just eats him again. And if you hit Tahm instead he just heals it right back up. He can still do what he's supposed to do, but enemies have a bigger window to exploit afterwards.

So its basically RIOTs new politic I seem to notice in the changes they made while I wasnt around: Being able to delete squishies every engage is fine, dealing a nuke of damage all the time is fine, but actually being able to disengage or prevent damage, thats not what people want to see in LCS?

I mean... i took a look at his winrate, whatever he was supposed to do, he clearly isnt in any position to do it.

Well, yes. Imagine a football/soccer game, but no one gets even close to the goal. That'd be quite boring. But as I said, Tahm is still able to do what he's supposed to do. He can still save people from the most desperate situations. But now he actually has counterplay, a window of weakness you can exploit.
