Riot needs to fix matchmaking or dodges (one or the other)
Matchmaking is what makes solo Q into hell. The system doesn't take into consideration any fucking thing important besides MMR. Matchmaking should look at mastery level of champions, number of games played in ranked ie experience, and kda. The matches would be much more balanced if these things were considered when matching players. The problem is that two of them you cannot calculate until after the team has been assembled. So I propose changing how matches are setup which would solve countless problems.
Teams shouldn't draft anymore. Honestly there is no reason why teams should draft besides counter picking. Before a game starts, a player will pick the champion they want to play, the ban they want to choose, and the kind of team comp they prefer ie 2 tanks, 1 mage, 1 adc, 1 diver. Then the software will see the persons champion mastery, kda, and experience and put them into the appropriate team.
The problem with the system the way it is now is that little data can be used to determine balanced matches because it isnt front loaded. Front load the data and you get much better matchmaking.

Don't penalize for dodges. I shouldnt be forced into a match with somebody playing a champ with 0 mastery and a .83 kda and 10 games experience in ranked. That's complete shit. If I dodge then I lose LP and I cannot play for a while. Dodges should be free, I should be able to look up peoples experience, and dodge if I feel we cannot win.
LCS does it right because you have equal skill on each team. There isn't a reason to have this system in LCS. But it should be implemented in Solo Q.
