The worst part is she's not even weak, she's just been forced into the dilemma of "Do I want to have fun or do I want to win?", and as we can all see from champion.gg: most people prefer to have fun, ergo the poor performance.

To those who have no idea what I'm talking about: "recent" changes to lulu moved power from higher levels of q to her first level of it, meaning that support lulu, if she wants to win, should max e>w>q, though if you open champion.gg you'll see that the most popular build is q>e>w, which is just plain bad.

The reason for that is that the new direction she was pushed into is just boring, and does not appeal to her playerbase, hence they choose a subpar build which is still fun, over the more boring and stronger build.

Point is: LULU IS A POKE SUPPORT, it's a core part of her identity, make the q max a serious option again, undo all of the buffs if it comes down to that, I'd rather playing a fun and weak champion than a strong and boring one.

I'm pretty sure she has her current winrate because most people don't know that you're supposed to make "reactively decisive" plays instead of mashing 3 buttons in order and expect results. Or people play her like Janna or Karma, and wonders why Lulu "sucks".

Quick question: don't you think it's slightly stupid to tell people who are clearly better than you that they are playing things wrong? I mean no offense, it's just something that has been bothering me about the attitude of people here or on reddit.

And that answer was "cause you are playing it wrong", let's face it, that's not a very good argument or a nice thing to say. Anyway I've looked into your lolking history, and you generally max q>w>e, or q/w>e, which is the more fun skill order, it is also unfortunately pretty damn weak, I'm gonna take a wild guess that you don't max e>w>q because you felt it weaker, it's not, it's quite a lot stronger, it's also very boring, and all of this has already been stated in the op.

Let me state it this way then: when a certain playstyle gets ineffective enough(which as a side effect also means your chance of winning with it isn't good), it gets frustrating to play it, and it loses a lot of the fun factor it had back when it didn't cripple your impact on the game.

Well yeah, lulu had a pretty frustrating history in the solo lane(though I'd dare say more so in top lane than mid), but thing is ranged bullies have always been a thing top lane, and I don't think lulu has been more obnoxious than things like lissandra/gnar/vayne/etc, aside from when she was overpowered naturally.

Prior to the changes lulu wasn't very good top(she wasn't horrible, but there were plenty of both ranged and melee champions who were overall stronger), and I feel like reverting them would be an improvement, I definitely don't want lulu to go back to being oppressive in any lane, but there are other ways to achieve that besides turning her into what she is now(for example q dealing less damage to minions would hurt her waveclear which affects both of her solo lanes, whereas support won't be as effected, but her current q makes her poke just too low compared to other poke supports).

I have to agree Lulu is pretty boring right now.

I honestly don't see why her poke has been so thoroughly neutered when there are supports like Karma and Sona running around.

support lulu... support lulu is a myth ever since riot decided that it was "ok" for her to be a mid champion since that means they can just "adjust" her power if she became too strong and all it does is makes her support role weaker and weaker while her mid lane option is barely affected by the changes
