Once again about Darius
Hello! Let's talk about Darius! I used to play with this champion since season II. What do we know about him?
- procs and cons (strong early game/low sustain/lack of mobilty, etc)
- "easy to play hard to master" thing
- badass model
He got some adjustments last 2 patches: ultimate buff and (not sure) black cleaver. But he's still not viable. Let me explain why:
- His "cons" make him too weak
- He can't stack bc's armpen that fast (hello patch 5.8)
- True damage doesnt fit him against tanky meta. He can't shotdown enemy frontline, he's not able to catch enemy adc/apc (low mobility/no utility aswell)
- The only way to be useful = snowball. But still even fed Darius falls off late game too fast.
As for me Darius is more like anti-frontline champion/sticky bodyguard for adc/apc. But even this simple role he can't even handle. Few ways to improve the champion:
- Improve passive. Switch it to physical damage. It will be way easier to fight him early by stacking armor. AOE Physical damage + Physical dot + BlackCleaver = no armor for enemy team. I call it "utility buff"
- Improve ultimate. Dunks are awesome. Darius even got dunkmaster skin. He is nothing without his ult. So why dont you reward his successful refresh? Extra damage per cast or spellvamp? 25% damage on ulti. That would be awesome. Just imagine - first target 600, second 800, third 1000 etc. May be it's too strong for mid game but in late game usualy he can't even press R atleast once. 20 seconds to dunk better.
- More bleed stacks!? How about 10 stacks? Without damage change. Old x2 damage = 5 stacks. x3 damage = 10 stacks. Tanky frontline would deal with him now.
P.S He's not fine at all. Last time we've seen him at the high competitive game was spring 2013. It doesnt make any sence.
