In a world where turrets are already considered weak

4th Dragon buff now makes you take even less damage from turrets. 20% less to be exact.

I find this to be sad considering how easy it is for pretty much anyone do turret dive nowadays. Maybe we can up turret damage to make this Dragon buff feel more impactful!

Wow, another shitty dragonbuff to make the game even snowballier, as if it's not snowbally enough already, as if I don't find it frustrating that melee ad carries with their fucking semi tank build can allready stand another inhib turrets for ridiculous durations. Why just fucking remove the turrets already, no one respects them post lvl 3 anyway.

Making objectives other than the turrets matter means that the winning team can't just push down the turrets every chance they get. They need to choose between dragon and tower, and that means less snowball.

Or they could just take both? -.-

That being said, I've never felt that I've had to chose between taking a turret and a dragon, ofc, I will simply just run down the turret then back of and solo the dragon or have my team run down a turret or two while I solo the dragon. As you might understand by now, I really, really, I mean REALLY, like soloing the dragon. <3

If one of the siegers solo dragon, that means one less person on their team to fight. If the siegers go get dragon after tower, that means they're not taking two towers (or even three) in a row.

If none of the siegers go to take dragon, the losing side can sneak solo (or duo) dragon, too. You can exchange a tower for a dragon, but rarely can you exchange a tower for a tower as a losing team.

Drag is up every few minutes and with the adc it drops in a couple seconds, if you're ahead it's unlikely the opposing team will even attempt to do anything other than maybe have their jungler suicide to try smiting. Non-competitive games are snowballed differently than competitive games. When a team gets ahead they end up with 10s of kills, not ending the match with 9 kills.

why don't turrets just deal %HP true damage already? everything else already does anyways

I suppose ironically a lvl 1 Vayne with silver bolts hits harder than a turret does now.

THESuperStuntMan4 votes

That would mean they only do extra damage to tanks, which would make no sense since tanks are supposed to be able to tank turrets lategame.

Yeah, tanks are supposed to tank turrets, not have picnic under them, followed up by taking a nap, followed by taking a couple drinks at the bar and singing kareoke, followed by acing the opposing team, before they are actually pressured to ditch tower aggro. Sigh...

followed by acing the opposing team

Mm..... I think you're confusing "tanks" with "ADC's". I've watched them out-lifesteal the turret damage.

But more importantly: I think you're forgetting someone. Galio Far as he is concerned, inhib and Nexus turrets are health potions.

That having been said though. Come late game, you protect turrets; not the other way around. I Just wish we didn't have to protect them from Caster minions. (>_>)

GayFluffyUnicorn1 votes

Since when are tanks supposed to actually tank anything? From all the changes riot made i thought tanks are supposed to 100-0 every carry in the game? Like shyv, udyr, malphite and several others do it on a regular base. Not to forget Garen.

Fat Bastard GOD5 votes

It's ok, now tanks can dive for 40 seconds!

Mister Support5 votes

You know, most people that freak out about this are completely forgetting one KEY thing. One or both teams need to actually reach the 4th dragon buff, which takes a while. Most people that I've seen reacting negatively to this act as though everyone in the game now just get that buff without doing anything.

Objectives are meant to help close out the game, dragon is an objective, and this will help with diving and sieging in the LATE game. Now we actually have it where dragon buffs, aside from 5th, help do this. Meaning people will actually more aggressively go for it.

LaoBushido4 votes

It still take at least 24+ mins to get 4th dragon this was made to end games more effectively . Hiding behind a base tower is still strong now so I don't think a tower buff is needed but let's see how game will flow after the patch

ClatoVerataNicto7 votes

I still find it to be rather easy to murder teams under turrets even in late game. I feel that turrets are weak at all points in the game, with the exception of silly lvl 1-2 dives. This only makes them even weaker late game.

MalzaharAnyLane1 votes

They are still too weak on the silly 1-2 dives. Supports taking stray turret shots at 1-2 should pretty much die outright, right after a brawl with only 200 hp left regardless of stats.

ZT Xperimentor4 votes

I know right? As if they weren't less impactful; sure let soraka towerdive and get a double kill by herself while you're at it riot.

When I first started playing League, I did a tower dive and was absolutely shocked at how fast the tower turned me to paste.

I fired up DotA, waltzed up to the mid tower with a squishy hero, and let it kill me. Took twice as long as it does in League.

Suffice to say, League towers hit harder than towers in any other MOBA that I'm aware of, so I'm not sure where this 'towers are weak' mentality comes from. League's towers are pretty fucking strong.

ClatoVerataNicto9 votes

League towers used to be stronger. Heck the original Dota on Wc3 the turrets were stronger.

Slamurai Jack5 votes

League towers have never been stronger. They are literally the strongest they have ever been in terms of damage. People are literally pining for memories of a time that never existed. Go look it up if you don't believe me. Tower damage has been nothing but buffed for years now.

Spoofghoul13 votes

Numbers wise they might be as strong as ever

This does not equate to actual strenght

Everyone their mother and their kitchen sinks ahve 10 trillion movespeed from items 10 trillion ways to rest tower aggro from their kit/items and 10 trillion cc and 10 trillion dashes flashes and blinks.

Taking that into account when towerdiving equates to towers being 10 trillion times as weak as they used to be

MalzaharAnyLane4 votes

I'm tired of people thinking it's okay to be level 2 and at 100 or 200 HP underneath a turret as any character. It's not. It should one-shot you. Even Leona after a hard bot lane fight shouldn't tank a single turret hit at level 2 under any circumstances with 150 HP and get out alive.

Stop diving before level 4. Make the towers strong enough to prevent this, I'm not even talking about 3 or 4 man dives on a full health bot lane that's behind.

mike in the box3 votes

season 6 increased the rate of gold gain so people ramp up with damage/tankyness faster. Towers are weaker because players are stronger

we had turrets? the last time we had turrets was during tank meta in season 5, these are just glorified pink wards that steal cs.

try full build ziggs. I almost literally destroyed a turret in 3 autos

Wildheaven1821 votes

They should make red buff not apply to turrets.

iamthegoatofwar1 votes

! better idea well maybe not better but 4th dragon makes it to where turrets do 40% more damage instead of your team taking 20% less. helps with defense incase things go wrong, and make towers feel useful. Anyone else in?

LordKentravyon1 votes

In all honesty the changes for dragon are good.

Turrets are weak but now rito can buff them without having to worry about "games being unendable stall fests" The availability of a massive permanent sieging buff should in theory allow them to now buff towers.

MrWasjig1 votes

Or we could make turrets worth a squirt of cum? But I guess when Riot said they wanted shorter games they meant way WAAY shorter.

I hate my ADC1 votes

I'm more concerned about Season 6 being the Season of one shotting everyone. It's easy to tower dive when you only need a second to kill whoever is under the turret.

Towers didn't grow weaker, the power creep just skyrocketed in the last few updates.

Today my team was able to push from the enemy outer turret to their inhibitor and nearly destroy that as well within about 30 seconds. I'm pretty sure half the time our Lux was tanking the turrets.

SlippySloop1 votes

One turret will go where no turret has gone before...introducing Tower, League's first immobile, base-locked champion!

Llanite1 votes

You won't be having the 4th dragon till 25 mins, WITHOUT contest, if the other team takes 2 dragons, it would take 35 mins, at which point the game should already end.

so can Alistar now have 100% damage resist to turrets? or is their a cap for this sort of thing?
