I'm not too sad since I have the Black Granola announcer pack. Having GP as the announcer was pretty awesome though, of course I could be biased since I used to main him.

I enjoyed it too. I'd be happy with the music as a start, since that should be very easy to implement.

Well also Lol music in general. We have old SR music in the game, why not Proving Grounds, or Howling Abyss, or old and new Twisted Treeline, Dominion, Winter SR, and Halloween SR. All of these besides the regular SR music should also be options in the menu (the same with other maps, give or take what map music and map are used as main). They were once part of the games files, it should not be that hard to add them in again.

You can play with the music/sound files, or apply player-only mods to get the music and announcer back. You can also get the map via mod.

If you're interested, Wooxy can set you up for getting this done easily. It's a simple program that lets you change to custom maps, skins music or whatever. It's neat.

And is this considered modifying game files, which is bannable?

No. Riot said that map skins are fine since they only affect the player. Sound and champion skins are likewise. Modifying game files is only bannable if you screw with things that can give an advantage over other players, such as changing settings to get display settings that aren't currently available.

Riot's insistent on forcing certain standards on us (being Summoner's Rift w/ current theme and music) and keeping everything else limited or rare (be it Bilgewater ARAM, URF, etc.)

Personally, I don't understand their motive for this since giving us more options and customisability not only strengthens the game but would possibly bring more to play it or return to the game. Considering a good bit of what they put out is pure gold, I'd like a firm answer regarding why the fun events and additional music (i.e. Bilgewater theme, Warsongs) can't be used as alternatives in the game when we already have the Old SR Music as an option.
