As a Diamond Gangplank one-trick, i can assure you GP doesn't NEED any more gold. GP doesn't need any more damage, any more sustain, nothing. He's in a perfectly balanced spot right now, and slowly you're going to make him creep into a monster (you helped crit plank too with the lowered cost of zeal). Just don't make him so good he's banned a bunch and then nerfed into the ground.
Yeah, he's pretty balanced, so I was curious about that. my only problem is I find it annoying to lane against him as fiora due to his Q poke, any tips for that?
I tend to agree with this, GP is a high skillcap champ w/ combos that require setup for max effectiveness, to me this buff is at best a bandaid for GP players who arent that good with him, and an un-needed buff to his skilled mains.
That said I rarely see GP and that makes me sad b/c he's a fun champ to have on your team or to play against, so i hope this buff increases his playrate even if the gold gen might need to be adjusted in the future.
