Which Viktor rune is the most optimal?

Talking about the keystone. I'm unsure between Aery or Electrocute. I've played a fair bit of Viktor (not a hardcore main) with both, mainly Aery though, and can't seem to decide which one would be better.

I guess the obvious answer would be to look through statistics on which one deals more damage throughout the game, or draw a conclusion based on X games of my own played with Aery and the same with Electrocute and see which one deals more on average.

The problem though, is that it's not the same. Electrocute provides burst damage, while Aery is mostly poke/sustained. There's been games where the Electrocute secured a bunch of kills or made trades incredibly valuable, forcing the opponent back. In that time I could've simply sent aery to someone a few times and get the same statistics, but Electrocute guaranteed to deal the damage in one go and potentially have higher value.

On the other hand, Aery is more consistent and reliable, making the choice more difficult...
