Should Riot look at Vayne's passive?
Sure everyone complains about the true damage, but her passive actually gives her sustained mobility when she needs to get to a target/teamfight.

I have a few ideas in mind for vayne something like ex.
[Passive: Night Hunter] "Vayne gains 20 movement speed while moving towards the last visible enemy champion marked by Silver Bolts. If Vayne successfully triggers Silver Bolts on an enemy champion, this movement bonus is increased by 10. Stacks up to 2 times."
Or maybe
[Passive: Night Hunter] "Vayne gains 30 movement speed for 2 seconds when triggering Silver Bolts on an enemy unit. This bonus is lost if vayne autoattacks or casts Condemn."
IDK I think her passive is fine imo, the 30 ms while useful isn't overbearing and it only helps her in all ins or chasing, not escaping. Granted the 90ms she gets when her ult is active is pretty extreme but she's supposed to be at her most dangerous then. I feel like a better approach might be to either slightly lower the ult ms to 80 or increase the ults cooldown.
the thing is, she has tools to escape, does she really need tools to keep engaging afterwards? When Ez and Corki use their dashes to get away or go all in they don't have tools to disengage or reengage a fight. She also doesn't have a bad lategame or poor scaling, her scaling skyrockets when she gets 1 item. Jinx and trist have to get a kill to reset but Vayne doesn't she can shove away someone, reposition, stealth if she needs to, then kite them back and kill them within a few auto's.
I don't know if she needs a change. What she gets from her passive is balanced by her general range which is low for a adc.
If you look at her passive range though, it's the same as a noc level 1 ult. It's relevant at any stage in the game, and mobility is always dangerous on an adc. I'm just saying that she has too many options in her kit, the only counterplay to Vayne is like Trynd or Yi right now is to kill her before she kills your team or all in her if she has no peel. But considering that's not "real" counterplay she needs a balance somewhere between free mobility, disengage and cc, and damage. Even if she was melee like Irelia she'd still have more reliable cc and damage.
I see what you mean. However as a player who has put in many a game on
as well as other adc
I don't really see her as in a over powered or game breaking spot. While the idea of something to do with her silver bolts proc being worked in to her passive intrigues me, I just don't think it's really needed. Currently she only keeps the speed as long as she has vision and it usually only is useful if she is going all in which is always a risk. I think there are plenty of adc that can easily out trade or outplay Vayne with proper mechanics,

. Then again I am not a pro or anything close and am speaking from a limited elo of experience. The best players I ever see in game are diamond/plat so things may be different for higher levels of play.
Vayne kinda is in a game breaking spot, since she's guaranteed to get damage out on her silverbolts, she doesn't traditionally itemize for armor penetration or even for crit and she's outclassing all other carries due to the itemization changes. She's the only adc that doesn't have to worry about what the enemy is ever building because she has built in counters. All she needs is ad/lifesteal/as and she gets that from 1 item. I'm suggesting that Riot hit her in her "invisible" power instead of her blatant and invisible power so they don't hit her too hard like they did Lucian. Vayne also has semi positional cc as a basic ability, that alone makes her stronger than other adcs.
Well, Ill leave you with this because I don't think I will convince you otherwise and ultimately my opinion doesn't matter in regards to what Riot does with Vayne. I just have not had that experience in game with
. I have had games where I carried hard but there have also been games where I was fed and still lost because of the enemy teams strategy or team comp. Vayne still has to itemize and does have to get a defensive item unless you are fighting 5 potatoes. Generally yes BORK is the best item to start on vayne but she still has to select items such as
just like any adc. Her builds also do have to depend on the enemy such as if they are all stacking thornmail and randuins/frozen heart she may be forced onto a item like
rather than say a triforce or ghostblade. So maybe you have just been playing crazy skilled players that are god's on Vayne but in my experience I have found it relatively easy to beat her when I play against her, and have been beaten myself even if I outplayed my lane.
I know there's a great deal of skill with Vayne, she was actually one of the first adc's I played, I don't preter her aggressive style and play safe carries like Ezreal, Graves, and Caitlyn. That said she's really in a state of unbalance because other adc itemization has been nerfed and other adc's have been nerfed. My issue with vayne and this post is for riot to look at vayne's assassination potential, I feel like it's too high because of her ability to stick to a target. I don't think her true damage is the issue because frankly Corki deals more true damage with autos. Her gap closing isn't the issue either, it's the fact she can run you down in lane and bully or kill you if she gets ahead. You can jump and flash and she gains on you like Sivir with her ult on and that's why she's got such a great winrate, she can mobilize better than any adc when a target is around.
I personally just hate the fact that she's the type who has so much safety, yet so much chasing potential. Kinda like Riven. No one is ever going to escape a full or close to full CDR Riven, then again, no one is ever going to catch her.
I don't see the problem, really. Kind of fits her theme. Gung ho to get into the fray.
i've been saying this repeatedly about ways to nerf vayne while keeping her strengths intact
if she's going to hard counter tanks, fine. but give her targets a bigger window to escape since they know she'll outduel them. the person building attack speed items (which coincidentally give move speed on the ones she buys) already has enough chasing power before you even consider how strong her passive is for chasing
I don't think there's anything wrong with her Passive
She has no caster spells, average range, and relies heavily on hitting the same guy a lot, she'd be pretty bad if she couldn't at least stick to targets
meanwhile Sivir passive...
