I was honor 5 last season therefor I am honor 2 with checkpoint 3 this season, but I do not get any of the rewards that would have been obtained leveling up to honor 2 checkpoint 3? That is so dumb, if I have known that I would have purposely been toxic just so I could obtain them. I should be rewarded with 2 keys and 2 fragments from being level 2 checkpoint 3.

WHAT? Those rewards are for the end of the season that just started. They just came up with checkpoints. What are you people thinking?
You should have known this. They didn't make people level up beyond 30 when they introduced that system, so why would we get other rewards for having honor over 3? None of their rewards are gonna be retroactive.
All of you misunderstood. There are an infinite amount of checkpoint rewards. They increase in value with honor level. Therefore, starting from checkpoint 3 means that you will get to honor 5 faster and get more of the honor 5 infinite checkpoint rewards. You get better and more rewards for getting reset to a checkpoint.
