Does anyone else think this patch nerfs fiddlesticks pretty hard?

Hello everyone,

I was reading the patch notes, and to me it feels like Fiddlesticks is getting a heavy nerf. Here's why:

Q range down, but MORE IMPORTANTLY Drain cooldown now begins at the end of the channel. Yeah sure the cooldown is lower, but it used to be if you got max CDR you could practically just perma drain. Now you are going to have to wait over 1.5 seconds before you can cast drain again. This doesn't feel worth the increase movespeed he gets after not moving (although that will help his ults out)

What does everyone else think? Do you guys think that the movespeed will help his ults enough to make up for the loss of perma drain? Personally i dont think so.

Obviously we'll have to see it in game, but I want to know what other people's impressions are.

I'm a high gold / low plat player, currently ranked gold 1.

Yes, it looks like a nerf. After tomorrow, he finishes his drain, then waits three seconds or more to use it again, and probably gets focused down during that time. Yay.

I thought he was always generally a useless champ.

I've played him 6 or so games on PBE, and I got to say he's much stronger. The big thing is the Crows bounce 2 more times, and prioritize champions you are draining - at ranked 5 it does around 600 + 180% AP damage to the target you are draining, more than most ults. His new passive is sick too, and in all honesty the change to drain's cooldown helps in most PVP situations, where it frequently gets interrupted.

I mean in addition, you usually just zhonyas after ulting anyway so who cares about the movespeed?

If a fiddle ever finishes his drain, the enemy is awful anyway, the vast majority of times his drain gets interrupted, and in those cases the new CD would actually be shorter

May be a buff in a way, as now if you're interrupted early for your channel, you'll have it up quicker than before the tweak

I've always found Fiddle too clunky to play, and will continue to until they fix his kit's general usability issues. These changes, good or bad, don't address that at all.
