Since preseason start, lets do some math on blue essence values.

So since the start of Preseason I have played 28 Games (6 losses 22 wins), 870 minutes worth of time (14.5 hours), got all 5 free wins of the day, and have only gotten 3 levels giving me a total of 2349 blue essence.

I would need about 2.7 times more b.e. to get one 6300be rune page or the currently highest priced champion.

That would be another 76 games (if my win loss rate remained as high as it was), and approximately, 2,349 minutes (39.15 hours)

So one 6300 Rune Page or champ will end up taking me approximately 104 games at a 78% winrate (not likely to continue that high) , which would take me on average 53.65 hours (not including queue/loading/champ select times)

What do you guys think is this a ridiculous amount of time and games for the amount of blue essence or is this comparable to the IP system we've had till this point.

Edit: Also this has been only ranked games. No norms, no arams etc.

You got unlucky, unfortunately. Thankfully, there's plenty opporunity to get bigger capsules, and every 10 levels you'll get a much larger Milestone Capsule which is guaranteed to be worth over 1k BE

Been averaging 783be per level up. 1k is only aprox. 200 more so i dont think it was unluckiness and more that we are only supposed to receive on average between 700 and 900 blue essence. Hopefully 1k is not all we get for a milestone as that would be very underwhelming in my opinion.

On 3 level ups so far i am averaging 1040 BE, maybe you just got the low end to start and the bad luck protection will kick in for the next few levels.

Off hand, pre 7.22, how much of the old IP gained would have gone into your runes for your rune pages?

Honestly cant remember had both pages done shortly after leveling the account bought random ones as needed. Never did i feel starved for IP. I did not however purchase any rune pages which is really screwing me over with the new masteries falsely named "Runes".

How much progress do you have towards your 4th level up right now? I doubt you ended your 28th game at exactly 0% experience.

Then let's estimate the number of games you spent to gain EXACTLY 3 levels by removing the portion that contributed to that extra quarter of a level. 28 games x 3 / 3.25 = 25.8 games spent to gain exactly three levels.

We should also remember that we are looking at some impossibly pessimistic BE gains per level in your example, as it looks like the value of at least one of your level ups was 720 which is no longer a possible roll and the other two were 810, which is the new lowest roll. So you were improbably unlucky and your average gains over the long run will tend to be better than that.

Now we have to look at the biggest mistake in your math: You counted the games you played twice. While it is accurate that you need 2.7x your current essence to afford a 6300 champion, that does not mean you need 2.7x MORE games in addition to the games you already played, it means you need 2.7x games TOTAL.

Now adjust the math for the new games count: 25.8 games to gain exactly three levels x 2.7 ratio to have enough essence = 70 total games 70 total games - 28 games already played = 42 games remaining

So the estimated total games to acquire a 6300 BE champion at your current rate of XP and BE gains is closer to 70, and the number of games you personally have remaining until your next unlock is around 42.

The old IP system just required playing norms for around 30 hours to get 6300IP champs lol

Interesting read of actual BE gains instead of extrapolation of the data from the first few levels.
