Does anyone have any tips or something that’s useful against laning against a nautilus? I swear I can never beat that champ because he has cc and tan lines that are off the charts and he oneshots my adc too lol, the only time I really won against a naut is when he does a troll build or when he leaves his adc so that me and my adc can kill him. Anyways I really don’t know what to do against this guy and if ur a nautilus main or a good support player ANYTHING tip/tricks/suggestions anything would really help

Noted supports I play are Pyke,Shen,Bard,Alistar,Thresh,Rakan,Braum, and Leona

he has lower hp than adc at level 1 lol. theres your window. now... his counter is this if he engages you your supposed to either nullify his adc by pushing that person outta range to eat nauts cc then reengage on the enemy adc. or play a poke mages to weaken him then smash him.

So basically Naut is really squishy early, even tho his hook has a lot of base damage and his shield can be really fat depending on the runes. His shield and hook are both on a somewhat high cooldown, so if he misses a hook or uses up his shield, those are opportunities. Don't stand too close to him if you can or you might get rooted by his passive. If he roots someone else, his passive goes on a short cooldown so you can get close to him for a few seconds then. Standing behind minons will block his hook, but if you think it's a good fight to take, it IS possible for him to hook himself into a bad situation. Unlike blitz's hook, he moves toward the enemy, so you might be able to kill him if you force him to take a bad hook. Sometimes Nauts throw hooks and are relieved they miss or are avoided. His hook hitbox is really really big though. I think it's the biggest hitbox out of the hook champs, so stay behind terrain (down turrets count, he will get caught on turrets, even downed ones). Walls, minions, etc. The jungle is a bad place for him to fight partially because of this. He is also incredibly slow, so if you are more mobile than he is, you can use that to your advantage to roam or kill him. If he isn't very close to his adc and can't use his hook to get closer to them, then you can burst down his adc and there isn't much he can do to defend himself then but try to cc you to avoid death. He doesn't do much damage unless he is building AP. Even though his hook's base damage and aftershock can do a good amount, it isn't enough to kill somebody, even early game, unless they are already low. You can also cut his gold income by zoning him off of farm early so he can't proc his relic shield. Naut usually builds at least some tank items, not completely support, and those items are expensive. If you are able to zone him off of farm (he's squishy early, keep that in mind), then he'll most likely be behind the rest of the game. I hope some of these tips can help you. Naut is a tricky champ to go up against, especially since he was buffed a little while back.

Taric is the best support against him because as soon as your ally gets hooked you can heal, shield, stun nautilus, and make your ally invincible while they can't move. You will have enough defenses to protect them and because you are a tank you can protect yourself with the same abilities. If your partner still dies too fast, get locket of the iron solari to shield them while your ult is being channeled.
