Possibility of implementing rotating T3 rune sales

I thought that might be a good short-term fix to how expensive most rune sets usually are, short of a permanent price reduction (which might require IP compensation or massive butthurt could ensue). Right now I'm having to choose between getting new champs or getting runes for roles that I have gotten interested in recently. I'm hesitant to jump into a role without the proper rune page, so that means that I just keep playing the champs I'm already playing while grinding games to get more IP. Not saying that this makes LoL unfun, but it does take some of the excitement out of it, at least for me.

A system of rotating sales for runes would help people who know the best runes to pick up the runes they need while also introducing new players to the rune system; the runes on sale wouldn't necessarily have to be the "best" ones, but it would also show the less experienced players what runes are out there. I know that when I first looked at runes I had no idea which ones I should get, and the sheer number of them was rather intimidating. I feel that such a system would greatly benefit players as a whole, and would keep people from complaining that they have to sink in a lot of time in order to achieve some permanent progress.

What do you guys think about this? Feel free to provide constructive criticism, but please try to be polite.

Im in the same boat and i agree. Rune sales such as how they rotate champion and skin sales would make alot of sense really. Ive accumulated alot of runes from painstaking grinding, but there are still so very many more that i'd benefit from having.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. There are those who will jump into roles without getting more runes (than they already have). There are also people who just want to play ranked immediately upon hitting level 30 (I am not one of them) and play without runes. In my opinion, their prices are roughly right. There should be a high cost associated with them to show that you see the value in getting runes. I'm not saying this just because I don't have time to play much, meaning I don't stand to gain much from trying to get many champions, which would, by logic, make runes more valuable for me. It's just that by my not being able to get many champions, I've realized what qualities I want to have in champions I use (I have found that most of the champions I have do not have those qualities and that a good chunk of the champions I want but don't have cost 6300 or 4800 IP). I'm sure that some people have bought champions they don't want/like. I feel that runes should be expensive to encourage you to make good budgeting decisions, although yes, I do realize that this is just a game.

Instead of just giving downvotes, can you guys actually explain why you don't think it would be a good idea? Always hated these types of forums because most people just downvote/upvote instead of replying.

Thank you to the people that actually responded and explained their thinking.
