@Meddler: Changes to Kog's Ult?

I'm really happy to see the changes to the mana cost and stack timer. But otherwise I'm somewhat puzzled.

So the base damage is going up by 50 at all levels, while the execute damage is getting a slightly higher threshold in exchange for less explosive kill potential at all levels sans 1. Are the AP and bonus AD ratios of the ability going to be increasing as well? Because if not, this seems like it's actually a buff to Kog's early/mid game and a nerf to his late game?

I've been getting really mixed signals from the Live Balance Team on Kog. You guys keep saying you want him to be a late game scaling hyper-carry, but you keep removing his scaling potential and giving him more mid-game power. This doesn't make a great deal of sense to me.

Well his late game is still terrifying and he doesn't really ult that much when he can be auto attacking.

In terms of late game success, Kog ranks well behind Vayne and Twitch. He even ranks behind Miss Fortune despite the fact that she's a lane bully. Though MF is over-tuned at the moment. I guess we'll see what happens when YoMama's Ghostblade and Duskblade get fixed.

Will buffing his mid game poke significantly improve things for him? Certainly! But Riot is going down the exact same path here that broke remake Kog. He was fine until Riot started shoveling gobs of power into his mid and early game. Then things started getting absurd.
