Assassins are too tanky

Assassins are too tanky and mages are too squishy. I can understand why making mages squishy is healthy but they are too squishy. Assassins on the other hand, are too tanky and they have too much sustain synergy with their kits as well as item builds. I don't see how it is fair to get one shotted by an assassin but to kill them, you need to recycle through almost all your abilities twice especially when they have escaping abilities. At the same time, I don't think it is fair to get one shotted by everyone, even if they are weak, as a mage but have to itemize to be able to do serious damage.

I see a lot of Zed players (even LL Stylish) buy these items after 1 or 2 lethality items and they get fairly tanky believe it or not Zed item 3071 item 3156 item 3812

But that's when they already have 2 items and they usually fall off already.

They have to invest in some defense because around late mid game global damage is already pretty high, and they have to get right into the enemy team. But even then, it's not making them that tanky. It's helping them to get out of some close situations or duels, like Assassins should be played, but they won't do anything if you manage to cc them correctly and shut them down with your team.

Yeah that's another issue. I don't know why but a lot of the time I wouldn't have such teamwork as described. Guess I need to find a duo.

zed goes that build because duskblade's lethality gets countered by a single cloth armor (believe it or not, that is true, duskblade ignores 18 armor and cloth armor gives 15)

True enough. Though i'm starting to believe that it's not the problem with lethality but Zed himself. He scales so well early game, he can buy any AD item and he will already gain so much more dmg on his abilities but I assume it's intended for him to be an early game monster.

Overall I will agree with what you will say, I don't want to debate about Zed anymore. It's a bit tiring lol, best to move on.

Guys who are complaining about this guy saying this, look at the champ pool for Assassins, Rengar, Ekko, Yi, Zed, Fizz, Akali, Kat, Nid, Kha, Talon, Shaco, Evelyn, Noc, Leblanc, Kass, and Talon. Each of these champs tend to get High HP bars sure, but they tend to have insanely high Lifesteal and Regen as well as a lot of escapes. When you see a Yi with 1 item able to pop in under turret, kill someone at full HP, and then pop out cause his Q makes him untargetable by the turret and by the time he take maybe 2 hits from turret his Q is up again and you have him dodging your skills, turret, and gets the kill.

Now most of the others are just getting too much sustain, not that they are "tanky" but they have so much sustain from skills and lifesteal that they get so hard to kill. Whereas Mages have next to no Lifesteal as everything is in their spells and they don't get Lifesteal items in their normal "meta" builds. I've seen the numbers hitting on an Akali, with just Hextech Gunblade, her auto heals her about 45-60, but her main skill, Q I think, heals her for 140-170 depending on a few things, and then there is crits. Mages don't get crits, they don't get that insane burst of healing from doing a ton of damage. The best Mages have in their normal kits are items like Rod of Ages that heals 20% of Mana Cost of a spell up to a max of 25.

Still yes this guy has a point, an Assassin should have the massive power to kill you quick, but should have the risk that they can't survive if they can't escape like the mages do.
