In light of the Ryze Rework: A new suggested mechanic.
Hi all. I recently read a post that Ryze was going to get (yet another) rework and I thought of a new mechanic that I would like to see introduced that would really help out.
The idea for the mechanic is this: certain spells should apply a buff to the opponent that prevents toxic play. What do I mean by this? Take Ryze for example. I would suggest that when Ryze rune prisons a target the first time, the target gains a buff that reduces the cc duration of rune prison by 100% for the next 6 seconds. This way, the chain cc problem is gone! Graphically some things will have to change (so you can still tell when he uses it because it would still damage) but in general I think this would be a good step to balance him.
The same idea could be applied to Nasus wither, with subsequent casts on the same target having reduced duration and/or effectiveness.
A third, and slightly more interesting example, would be on Soraka. For her, I would like to see a debuff applied to the target of her W heal. The debuff would drastically reduce the amount of healing subsequent soraka W heals will do, but is instantly removed if the champion deals damage to an enemy champion. This way, an adc that almost dies can't back off and be healed to full in 3 Soraka W casts. Its the same idea that they were originally trying to accomplish with Soraka (by forcing her into contact with opponents more often) except that this change will actually work (its been my experience that Soraka can still chain heal an adc back to full with no problem).
I'm sure there are other champions that could benefit from a mechanic like this, and I think it would be really cool to see it implemented. Thoughts?
? He will never be balanced and I think they should focus on champs that need it more.
