My Problem with the new map (from first impression)

Way too much is going on. Especially as a jungler

I played Diana jungle and these were the questions going throuigh my mind:

  1. I wanna buff my smite but i'm a mage. What suits me?
  2. Wait but I have no good cc. What if this smite sucks compared to the enemy's?
  3. What if they counterjungle?
  4. But the jungle is harsh. What if I buff my smite but can't kill anyone?
  5. Why do I have this vision passive?
  6. Why doesn't smiting chickens give me any buff?
  7. Why can I see invisible enemies?
  8. Why did i get shielded but lost it after I cross the turret
  9. What if I fall behind. What do I build? Is the jungle item worth rushing fully?
  10. Why aren't I ganking as much? If I keep ganking, i'll fall off since the jungle would be too strong for me. 11a. Why is Lissandra so freelo (obligatory lissandra post) 11b. Do I even need to ward?
  11. Why do I feel like I have lower mana?
  12. What is the point of buying Athenes when the price is increased and the mana regen is nerfed for the same stats?

read the patch notes.

I'm looking at it from a first approach. If I were a new player, it'd be way overwhelming.

Well now in the new 4.20 patch, you don't get to use smite until you're level 10. That gives you adequate time to learn the different buffs from the jungle in playing regular matches.

Honestly, any new player would find league overwhelming no matter what season it is.

  1. Why can't I attack people under their tower?
  2. Why are we in the lane?
  3. Why don't the jungle things move?
  4. What are these small things that are attacking eachother?
  5. What should I upgrade for my abilities?
  6. What are you things circling me or my enemies? Etc etc etc

I'm sure they will hopefully upgrade the tutorials in a bit.

actually, if you were a new player, you dont know how anything works anyways so a new system wouldnt be all that bad.
