Just played a game with two Gold V players in a trio when I'm a Plat V player. Sure you can make the argument that my MMR is low cuz my internet made me DC two games in a row, but I checked that they were low Silver last season. Here's one of the guy's elo in the past few months.

redniwediS2 votesIt's possible they are boosted, but it's also possible they are not. I was low silver in seasons 3 and 4. In season 3 I was part of a ranked team that placed silver and stopped, and in season 4 I finished my placements and stopped.
In season 5 I placed gold 5 and stopped. One season removed from being low silver, and yet I made it to gold in my placements. I'll admit if they are queuing with a plat it's a little suspicious, but it's hardly evidence by itself.
JerulEon3 votesLol how is that not evidence? This player was hovering at low silver for MONTHS. Then all of a sudden, he climbs up to gold V with a huge, steep curve. No one just improves that drastically unless he's getting help. And he was with two other party members. It's obvious, and it's everywhere.
