Remember the change that gave Akali's W a 1 second cooldown?

Wasn't a big deal because she's gated by energy.

BUT NEXT URF THO

Really hoping URF never comes back and instead Riot makes a new interesting gamemode. URF was not really fun due to the whole "let's spam whichever champion is unbeatable". I don't want to play "guess where Shaco just placed a death trap" or "try to ever survive Eve's Q's, Hecarim's existence, and Ezreal's spamming". It's unfun and boring, and even winning felt less like any form of skill or such and more that the player on the OP champion was really bad.

URF was fun for approximately the very first day it came out in 2014. After that it was a horrible spammy mess of overpowered things that sucked any fun out of the game.

EVERYTHING is OP in URF. I found out about Skarner, I spammed him until he got banned. The year afterwards I found out about Swain, he became my main.

The only thing not OP in urf (imo) is probably Yasuo. Aside from having ult and wind wall up almost always, Q/E don't scale well with CDR, the cooldowns already are so low. I'm sure there's some other non-OP but that's the only one coming to mind

Capture the Flag anyone?

I liked URF when it just came out.

Then Riot started trying to balance it >.>

The balances were mostly really good though

You're trying to balance a mode where the whole point is that everything becomes broken. You are killing it.

I'm a support main and I wanted to play my champions in a trololo state. What I got:

First round of URF Sona got banned, could still have a blast with Nami and Janna. Second round of URF heals got whacked >.>

There's broken, and there's impossible to play against...if you didn't nerf heals in URF, Sona could just permanently shield and heal for full value, where even with the heal nerf it's already a shield every 2 seconds (lasts for 1.5). Most supports have a heal or shield that is almost never down in URF, it only makes sense to nerf one of them to make the game less unplayable. It's plenty funny when you're the one perma healing, Soraka excluded because there's a downside to doing that, but it's pretty damn hard to do much against the perma heals. The point is chaos and fun, and fighting against someone who heals all the damage you deal is not very fun.

Edit: Heals scaled up to 100% power at 25 minutes anyway, so....

Objectively, how is it less fun to play against URF Sona that pokes and heals than to play against URF Fizz that you basically can't target?

I mean, they both suck to fight but at least fizz won't heal it all when you get some hits on him. I'd rather fight a fizz than a wukong in urf honestly
