Mordekaiser adc?

Im fairly new to the game but my understanding of the adc would be a ranged champion dealing lost of damage but with the trade off of being quite squishy, for this reason i cant understand the role of being a Juggernaut and adc in one champion.(correct me if im wrong ) he has a shield( unlike most adcs ) but can still do massive damage. Now there's not necessarily anything wrong with having a shield and doing tons of damage and being tanky but doesn't this create a problem when you push a champion with these qualities into a lane with champions that aren't tanky at all? you could argue that he stands at a disadvantage by being melee against a lane meant for ranged champions. So if things like juggernaut melee adcs apparently exist now does that mean well see more of these champions fulfilling these roles? I really just dont understand the concept ,ifso this could potentially shake the whole game up.Lane swaps are common inbetween champions playing top and mid lane but i really just cant imagine what this is going to do the game. like i said im a very new player XD,Not a rant just out of interest (: thx

Morde is not meant to take the place of a MARKSMAN (adc is different). The marksman can go to mid or top. I have even seen a few jungle(not a fan).

First lets define a few things.

ADC is a Attack damage carry.( doesn't have to be ranged) Marksman is a Ranged auto attack based champion.(doesn't have to be ad)

Most think you need a ADC marksman in bot lane. This is not true. You can put them in mid especially Ezreal, Kogmaw and Varus. They can also go top, mostly Quinn, Vayne and rarely Lucian.

Also to explain a few things a ADC marksman is not required for a meta team. What is required is sustained ranged damage. This is just most easily obtained via a adc marksman. However you will see a lot of LCS teams go with ad casters that become adc marksmen.(Corki, Kogmaw, Ezreal are all AD casters that can also be played as ADC marksmen)

To clarify a AD caster relies heavily on abilities for damage and or Trinity procs instead of relying primarily on auto attacks.

I hope that helps.

i was agreeing until this part.

neither ezreal, corki or kogmaw are ad casters. theyre CLEARLY adc. ad casters are ad champions that dont deal much damage with their auto attacks. they deal damage nearly entirely with their spells. while those 3 deal a bit more damage than other marksmen with their spells, their main source of damage is still their auto attacks.

in case of ad casters think ad assassins like talon and zed. or mre tanky versions riven, urgot, renekton, garen. they all do nearly their entire damage with spells. ad casters usually itemize more for raw ad, cooldown reduction and penetration than on hit effects.

while ranged adc, even the 3 you mentioned scale with on hit effects, attack speed, and critical strike chance and deal most of their damage with auto attacks.

also, right now an adc is required in a meta team. because that is what the meta is. ranged adc + support on bot lane. if you dont bring a ranged adc into a game at all, your win chances for your team massively drop to around 40%.

Notice I said they are AD casters that BECOME ADC marksmen. I also state that a AD caster is someone who relies on ABILITIES for damage or TRINITY procs. Ezreal Kogmaw and Corki all rely on abilities for most of their damage when combined with a trinity. I also left out MELEE ad casters as I state they needed RANGED sustained damage. This doesn't mean they need a ADC marksman they just need ranged sustained damage. Just because the most common form of this is a ADC MARKSMAN doesn't mean it is the only way.

You obviously have a different definition of a ad caster. This is why I defined it. This si why I was very specific on the type of character and type of damage need for the meta. SUSTAINED ranged damage. The "META" is more open then some are willing to accept.

I will not be responding to you again as I reread your post I have realized your definitions are far to narrow to have a discussion with.

Things can have more then one definition when you ignore part of the definition you miss the whole picture and are left with only your own NARROW view.

definitions are meant to be narrow. to, well. clearly define something. i still wouldnt attribute the use of triforce to ad casters. rather the opposite.

the few clear ad caster champions, not champions with 1 or 2 ad scaling damage spells, very rarely buy triforce. if at all.

Thx for the help

I understand that an adc marksmen can play mid lane ,i used to saw alot of ezreal in mid lane ,but i never saw a melee champion in bot lane ,thx for clearing that up (:

Just because he can go bot lane does not make him an adc, just like how an adc can go somewhere else besides bot lane.

Role =/= lane

Assassin and mages are roles, mid is a lane. The difference is key.

Can you make Morde an adc? I guess, but being melee is going to make that hard. Bruiser might be best if you send him bot, and have an adc either top lane or mid lane depending if they're an autoattacker or a caster.

Thank you very much (: I got confused with roles/lanes as i never saw any champion except a marksmen in the bot lane

That's metagaming for you.

Yep ADC morde is good, go play ranked quick!

They are making Morde take the place of an ADC...not be one. Potentially move the ADC to mid lane or top lane. It's an attempt to change the meta.
