Seriously. Everyone has a problem with these two items. Why? Because they allow ranged to have so much of an advantage over melee champions. Ezreal can hit you with Gauntlet from 600 units away and catch up with you. Now people hate Mallet Kennen because of his catch potential.

Ezreal isnt using Iceborn for a long time now. Ever since 6.8 nerfs to Iceborn, Trinity force became his core build again.
Iceborn used to deal 125% bonus base damage. Now its 100%.
You are right about Mallet. But Iceborn is rarely build now. Mostly Gragas, Galio and Poppy build it. And low elo Blitzcranks.

Nerfs to iceborn were useless. They just lowered the AOE damage and slow. Sure it made it less likely to be built on anyone but Ezreal still builds it in over a quarter of his games.
Slowing items are just too good tbh. You think youll be hit by just damage but instead it's damage and a stupid 30% or 40% slow just for getting auto attacked.

Its not popular because its bad now... Its not 400 and 370. Trinity force does 2x more damage than Iceborn. Ezreal builds Triforce in 60% of games. in 33% he doesnt even get to either as he rushes

Look at popular items. ANd in how many % of games he builds Iceborn. You either didnt play for a long time and have no clue about game lately, or u are just sticking to your own point even when proven wrong.

Doesn't mean they're complained about now, but because Ezreal's super strong when the meta favors him becasue of Gauntlet's catch potential and Kennen is what everyone is complaining about now with Mallet.

How do you build against a team who can hit you with an AOE slow from 1150 units away after teleporting 475 units? How do you itemize against a team that has no slows until they have ingame items that completely messes up your build path?
