AP tryn should be allowed to stay

Everytime there's healthy variety in the game the community cries about it and it gets shut down. From AP DFG garen, to AP Yi, to AD assassin poppy, to tank Ekko. Instead of balancing around them, they just get ridiculously gutted while strong variants such as Quinn is allowed to stay viable because "my marksmen privileges"

There's nothing wrong with AP tryn in his current state. He counters and has counter. Nerf Quinn if you want to nerf something playing an off role.

And I'm pretty sure tank ekko was gutted because he still beat your teeth in while being unkillable.

The other two I do think were pretty fair, though. I feel the same way about AP Trynd, since overall, the differences in playstyle/goals between AP Trynd and Crit Trynd seem notable enough AND healthy enough for both to coexist healthily.

Nah, there was a secret meeting at Riot. The power of DFGaren was too much for any game to handle so the made up some stuff about it breaking mages to weaken him.

To the OP, AP yi was only fun for AP yi, for enemy teams playing against him was like playing gray screen simulator.

Tank Ekko had obnoxious base damages so he could build full tank and become unkillable while dealing respectable damage then ulting if things looked bad.

Top Quinn became a thing because she was a garbage ADC. Short range with a wonky passive and an ult that no ADC would realistically want. She got rotated top lane because of how she invalidates melee champs so riot ran with that.

IIRC, AP Tryn was a thing back in season 2ish. He healed for so much that fighting him wasn't worth it.

And now that CDR is the most accessible stat in the game and crit items give him a whole lot of wasted stats, AP Trynd has made a triumphant return :^)

AP Yi was never removed though. Yi in general was reworked slightly, swapped to full AD scaling, and his AP and AD playstyles were both merged together.
