Now that Jhins been out in the wild for awhile now i am curious how people feel about him.

I have been playing him a ton and i find he he is a ton of fun but he does have some serious problems.

Key being that the longer the game goes on the bigger an issue i keep finding the 2.5 second reload to be.

Early game I understand why its that way because if it wasn't he would be crazy and mid game it prevents him from just going too ham but late mid and late game it puts such a big hamper on his DPS and really seems to cut into his ability to teamfight in a very negative way. That being said i still can't seem to find a solid item build for him other than I.E and that Dominiks is almost required on him against any sort of beefy opponent.

Anyone else got any opinions on him or how they been playing him differently or anything really?

Also how do you feel about the reload being only .5 seconds less than a fully leveled Morgana Q which is one of the longest single target CC's in the game?

He's interesting. Good damage output, multiple build paths, easy ways to differentiate between the average player. Everything I wanted in a Caitlyn rework.

He's strong, but not oppressive. Respectable laning, but not a lane bully. Scales well with items and levels. Slightly underpowered, which is what I want in a champion. He's in a good spot, and has potential. At this point it's hoping that Riot doesn't buff him any, and waiting for someone to find the most cost efficient build on him.

Jhin is a sniper. He makes Caitlyn look like she's using a water pistol. His ulti, without vision, is perhaps one of the hardest skill shots in the game.

Used to think he was weak, but holy smokes: when you consider his QWER all use Total AD ratios rather than Bonus AD ratios and then factor in the level of base AD Jhin's AA's get with that +2%~40% bonus AD amp from his passive, his base damages in his full QWER is unprecedented.

using level 9 AD values for his QWER combo on rank 5/5/5/3 skills, his full combo hits for something like 2040 damage with no grenade-bounces and no %missing HP scaling bonuses.

For a point of reference: Lux's full QWER combo is ~1100 base damage, and Syndra needs more than 5 Orbs to even scratch 2000 with her base combo. Brand barely exceeds 2k with max-bounces on a single target, Kat is ~2.5k in bases with 2 full QWER rotations (QWERQWER). Highest best-case scinario combo I've seen (barring a full 45 second duration Tibber's wailing away on someone) is Fiddlestick's ~2.9k combo with max drain, max bounces, max ult duration.

So Jhin's 2040 combo with his worst-case scenario in damage amps by simply landing all his stuff is really strong.

Jhin's best-case QWER scenario with max-grenade bounces and 1% HP is just stupidly massive amounts of damage. Like, 4.8k stupid-massive damage. Pentakill Katarina can't even hit that level of damage.

Starting to think of Jhin more as a AD/physical Xerath/Lux over a marksman. His reload time totally tanks his AA DPS, but with how potent his abilities are: it's not like he really needs that AA DPS to kill things in the first place.

Once players figure out how to work around Jhin's reload time (probably bursting when his AA's are cooling down), I feel he'll wind up being pretty strong.

He's just...not very forgiving, and seems to reward being very deliberate and calculated in his moves.
