Stealth

why people are crying over invisible traps and stealth abilities? being invisible is the point of those abilities and that's why they were created... if you could see a something a stealthed champion what's the point of the ability to provide stealth?

I think the issue lies more with what those champions and traps do, rather than the stealth itself. Jhin's traps, for example, feel mostly fair in spite of their stealth, because you get a warning before they deal damage to you. Teemo shrooms, by contrast, feel frustrating, because the gameplay translates to the player randomly losing half their health without much they could have done about it, besides constantly running around with a red trinket on. Similarly, Talon's total invisibility feels fair because he usually spends some time trying to kill you afterwards, whereas Rengar's camouflage often feels unfair because, when fed, he can simply attack you from nowhere and kill you near-instantly.

My opinion on this is that invisibility mechanics are fine in themselves, and I'd even supporting converting the game's three current Camouflage effects into total invisibility, provided the champions using them received some better design work (because let's face it, Eve, Rengar and Twitch are not really in great design states). However, I think Riot also needs to set harder rules for what a champion should and shouldn't do when they can use invisibility: as a general rule, if a champion can initiate a fight from stealth, they should take a bit more time to kill their opponents, for example, since their stealth means they can enter fights without a warning, and should therefore have more back-loaded counterplay. Stealth traps themselves are fine, but should provide their victim with an opportunity to somehow dodge or mitigate their effects: randomly getting the equivalent of a quick-time event (i.e. "escape the trap") makes for exciting gameplay, randomly getting inflicted a ton of damage or a long-lasting debuff doesn't.

Also tied to this is the counterplay tied to stealth, and I think Riot's means of removing hard-counters to invisibility has been incomplete: the entire point to stealth is to present your opponent with a totally unexpected situation right out of the blue, so stuff like Camouflage, control wards and red trinkets make little overall sense. What the devs need to do, however, is to really control in-combat stealth, and stealth used to escape fights: Vayne and Kha'Zix, for example, are not champions you want to give excessive amounts of burst to, because they can essentially make themselves untargetable mid-fight and prevent you from fighting back when killing you, if their damage is too high within that short window. One of the reasons I dislike Camouflage is because it doesn't really prevent champions like Rengar and Twitch from escaping too easily with it, and I think a better solution would be to disable their stealth abilities while recently in combat (and exceptionally let Twitch recast the skill mid-fight if he gets a kill, to mirror his current resets). Stealth should be about playing mindgames with your opponent, not pressing a button to become untargetable, so if your opponent is aware of your exact location while you're stealthed, you should be less effective, but otherwise you shouldn't have any unnecessary restrictions to your power.

the element of surprise is important in stealth abilities, old rengar could never exist the way he was,3 consecutive autoattack resets+the ability to actively engage on anyone he chose to no matter the circumstances. Old Rengar and reworked kog maw got reworked for the same reason, their kits became so unhealthy for the game that new items couldnt be introduced because no matter the nerfs the items would break the champion, old rengar and edge of night/new duskblade can never exist together. For kog maw it was on hit items, practicaly every on hit adc was shit except him he became so broken no matter the nerfs so they had to revert the rework.
